Twisted Triangle by Virginia Alicia Romer Ph.D. Pdf

Twisted Triangle is an intriguing and captivating novel that gives a true account of the experiences of its author. The title is a symbol of the maze of events that entangled the life of its characters, who, but for the mercies of God, were given a second chance to life. It can be considered Part 2 of her motivational book, Experiencing the Goodness of God, since it is the complete story of what happened. Written in the third person, each chapter is intricately woven to entertain and create suspense while at the same time giving greater insight into the messages intended for the audience. Even though the language is simple and unambiguous, the literary tapestry fabricated is so beautifully intertwined that one cannot resist the insatiable desire to keep reading.

Fatou Type Theorems by F. Di Biase Pdf

A basic principle governing the boundary behaviour of holomorphic func tions (and harmonic functions) is this: Under certain growth conditions, for almost every point in the boundary of the domain, these functions ad mit a boundary limit, if we approach the bounda-ry point within certain approach regions. For example, for bounded harmonic functions in the open unit disc, the natural approach regions are nontangential triangles with one vertex in the boundary point, and entirely contained in the disc [Fat06]. In fact, these natural approach regions are optimal, in the sense that convergence will fail if we approach the boundary inside larger regions, having a higher order of contact with the boundary. The first theorem of this sort is due to J. E. Littlewood [Lit27], who proved that if we replace a nontangential region with the rotates of any fixed tangential curve, then convergence fails. In 1984, A. Nagel and E. M. Stein proved that in Euclidean half spaces (and the unit disc) there are in effect regions of convergence that are not nontangential: These larger approach regions contain tangential sequences (as opposed to tangential curves). The phenomenon discovered by Nagel and Stein indicates that the boundary behaviour of ho)omor phic functions (and harmonic functions), in theorems of Fatou type, is regulated by a second principle, which predicts the existence of regions of convergence that are sequentially larger than the natural ones.

Alternative Medicine and Rehabilitation by Stanley F. Wainapel,Dr. Avital Fast, MD Pdf

Wainapel and Fast, both with Albert Einstein College of Medicine/ Montefiore Medical Center in New York, point out the irony of the speciality of physical medicine and rehabilitation having been considered a form of alternative medicine 50 years ago. Rather than being a practice manual or comprehensive survey of alternative medicine, this volume reflects the evolution of alternative medicine to an integrative/complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) seeking to combine the best of both worlds. Most of the 19 contributed chapters offer evidence-based treatments of such adjuncts to rehabilitation medicine for neurologic and other disorders as chiropractic, massage, yoga, meditation, biofeedback, hypnosis, acupuncture, nutritional therapy, and magnet therapy. Others discuss recent NIH-funded research, specific CAM treatment approaches, payment for CAM services, and professional literature issues. Annotation copyrighted by Book News, Inc., Portland, OR
