When I Was a Child... a Lyric for Life by Sp Samuels Pdf

Born into All Hallows. Wishing on a star of more than Just because. So why you tell me All my saints, they don't exist But your Jesus does? When I was a child, life was full of wonder and magic held fast by a child's imagination and not by what they may have seen or heard. Then it was time to put away childish things in favour of a set of rules that should have defined but merely complicated. The song lyrics in this book strive to accomplish two things. One, explore the wisdom of all such childish notions through the eyes of the forgotten child in all of us and two, fuel a series of fictional books with one already lurking... somewhere in cyber-land....

Music, Lyrics, and Life by Mike Errico Pdf

Music, Lyrics, and Life is the songwriting class you always wish you'd taken, taught by the professor you always wish you'd had. It's a deep dive into the heart of questions asked by songwriters of all levels, from how to begin journaling to when you know that a song is finished. With humor and empathy, acclaimed singer-songwriter Mike Errico unravels both the mystery of songwriting and the logistics of life as a songwriter. For years, this set of tools, prompts, and ideas has inspired students on campuses including Yale, Wesleyan, Berklee, Oberlin, and NYU's Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music. Alongside his own lessons, Errico interviews the writers, producers, and A&R executives behind today's biggest hits and investigates the larger questions of creativity through lively conversations with a wide range of innovative thinkers: astrophysicist Janna Levin explains the importance of repetition, both in choruses and in the exploration of the universe; renowned painter John Currin praises the constraints of form, whether it's within a right-angled canvas or a three-minute pop song; bestselling author George Saunders unpacks the hidden benefit of writing, and revising, authentically; and much more. The result is that Music, Lyrics, and Life ends up revealing as much about the art of songwriting as it does about who we are, and where we may be going. This is a book for songwriters, future content creators, music lovers, and anyone who wants to understand how popular art forms are able to touch us so deeply. Mike Errico has honed these lessons over years of writing, performing, teaching, and mentoring, and no matter where you are on your songwriting journey, Music, Lyrics, and Life will help you build a creative world that's both intrinsic to who you are, and undeniable to whoever is listening.

Lyrics of Lives by Vinita Sahu Pdf

My book ‘LYRICS OF LIVES’ enumerates various categories of poems, namely : Nature, Life, Death, Triumph, Suspense, Challenges of growing Urbanization and other virtues like truth, innocence and piety. All my poems revolve around the beauty of heart and soul, how one battles against adversities, how one comes out victorious even though situations pose numerous hurdle. I’ve even taken a peek into issues of life and death, our eternal journey that continues forever. The baggage of this life transcends into the next, good or bad, we need to take responsibilities of our deeds. The plight of our Mother Earth, the so called ‘Blue Planet’ endowed to us, is in an alarming state! My poems attempts to awaken mankind to save our Mother Earth. The enchanting beauty of nature has been depicted beautifully in my poem ‘The Wilderness’ that takes a supreme place among all my poems as it defines life that enjoys the ecstasy of nature, far away from worldly clutter, where you feel closest to the Almighty and take the delight, it happens to offer. Also suspense takes a special place among the list of my poems, not with an aim to scare alone but seeing to it that suspense leaves you with some interesting message. Hope that my readers find them engrossing and at the same time enjoyable. Also the race to touch the pinnacle of success, amass tangible possessions, leave behind others, has turned the new genre into machines. Their ‘speed and success drive’ have snapped them tragically from their near and dear ones. My poem ‘Lyrics of Lives’ dwells on piety, piety within family and piety for the larger family under the sky. This will be clear through ‘Maami’ and ‘After Thirty Years’. Apart from spiritual angle, my poems talks about the bitterness of human society, how they abandon people who might need them, whose agonies could be attended through their love and care but alas! Life perishes and others never get to know why. My poems delve with streaks of personality that one is born with and which is a hard crust to crack yet I also believe that certain catastrophic incident in one’s life has the ability to reformat one’s perspective towards life as will be apparent in my poems, ‘The Chiselled Diamond’ and ‘Blissful Amiss’. Finally ‘My Little Restless Nephew’ and ‘Oh! Dad’ comes along with the fragrance of innocence and reverence, the former brings smile to the face while the latter fills tears into eyes for having lost such endearing dad, a God substitute in most of our lives.

Lyrics of My Life by Branden James Pdf

The world was not the least bit surprised when Branden James became a finalist on Season 8 of America’s Got Talent, receiving high praise from the judges for his emotional, operatic vocals. During his time in the spotlight, he hit more than one perfect note. Coming out and sharing intimate details of his broken ties with his religious family on the show, he received countless messages from fans who could relate to his personal struggles. Through it all, Branden was surprised by one startling realization: how vital it was for him to be completely authentic in order to help others and continue to heal himself. Branden continued to inspire his fans and kindred spirits by publicly sharing further stories of struggling with depression, overcoming the tumultuous time when he contracted HIV, and being a victim of sexual assault, all while still identifying with the Christian faith. Lyrics of My Life is authentically Branden: a memoir highlighting the conflicts of growing up gay in a world that looked upon his true self and beliefs as an impractical, sinful way of life. Branden spares no details about his unstable life as a young adult, estrangement from his close-knit family, and, despite it all, his unbreakable will to overcome adversity. In a quest for his own personal freedom, Branden finds reconciliation with his family, rediscovers his faith, and realizes that affliction and hardship are not what define us as human beings.

John Keats - The Man Behind The Lyrics: Life, letters, and literary remains by John Keats Pdf

This carefully crafted ebook: "John Keats - The Man Behind The Lyrics: Life, letters, and literary remains" is formatted for your eReader with a functional and detailed table of contents. John Keats (1795-1821) was an English Romantic poet. The poetry of Keats is characterized by sensual imagery, most notably in the series of odes. Today his poems and letters are some of the most popular and most analyzed in English literature. During the 19th century, critics deemed them unworthy of attention, distractions from his poetic works. During the 20th century they became almost as admired and studied as his poetry, and are highly regarded within the canon of English literary correspondence. T. S. Eliot described them as "certainly the most notable and most important ever written by any English poet." Keats spent a great deal of time considering poetry itself, its constructs and impacts, displaying a deep interest unusual amongst his milieu who were more easily distracted by metaphysics or politics, fashions or science. How to Turn Poems, Lyrics, & Folklore into Salable Children's Books by Anne Hart Pdf

Do you want to adapt your poem to a storybook that tells a story in words, and pictures-or only amplify the images that you create with words? Would you rather turn your poem into a picture book that tells a story with pictures? Will words take second place to illustrations? Decide first whether you will write a story book or a picture book. Then use the images in your poem to clarify your writing. You won't be able to read a picture book into a tape recorder or turn it into an audio book or radio play. You will be able to narrate a word book for audio playing. Start with an inspirational poem, proverb, or song lyrics. Ask children what makes them laugh. You can make something out of nothing. You can make a story out of anything intangible, such as an idea with a plan still in your mind. Capture your children's dreams, proverbs, song lyrics, and the surprise elements that make them laugh. Record imagination, "what-if" talk, and personal history. A folktale or story is something that could come from any place in the past, from science, or from nothing that you can put your hands on. What children want in a book, poem, or folklore is a cave where they can go to be themselves. When suspending belief, children still want to be themselves as they navigate fantasy. The story book becomes a den or tree house where children can go inside, shut the door, and play. Introduce children to poetry by showing how you transform your poem into a children's book by expanding and emphasizing significant events in the life story of one child. Poems, memorable experiences, significant life events or turning points are all ways to make something out of nothing tangible. You begin re-working a concept, framework, or vision. Here's how to write, publish, and promote salable material from concept to framework to poem to children's book-step-by-step.
