Jesus > Religion by Jefferson Bethke Pdf

Abandon dead, dry, religious rule-keeping and embrace the promise of being truly known and deeply loved. Jefferson Bethke burst into the cultural conversation with a passionate, provocative poem titled "Why I Hate Religion, But Love Jesus." The 4-minute video became an overnight sensation, with 7 million YouTube views in its first 48 hours (and 23+ million in a year). Bethke's message clearly struck a chord with believers and nonbelievers alike, triggering an avalanche of responses running the gamut from encouraged to enraged. In his New York Times bestseller Jesus > Religion, Bethke unpacks similar contrasts that he drew in the poem--highlighting the difference between teeth gritting and grace, law and love, performance and peace, despair, and hope. With refreshing candor, he delves into the motivation behind his message, beginning with the unvarnished tale of his own plunge from the pinnacle of a works-based, fake-smile existence that sapped his strength and led him down a path of destructive behavior. Along the way, Bethke gives you the tools you need to: Humbly and prayerfully open your mind Understand Jesus for all that he is View the church from a brand-new perspective Bethke is quick to acknowledge that he's not a pastor or theologian, but simply an ordinary, twenty-something who cried out for a life greater than the one for which he had settled. On this journey, Bethke discovered the real Jesus, who beckoned him with love beyond the props of false religion. Praise for Jesus > Religion: "Jeff's book will make you stop and listen to a voice in your heart that may have been drowned out by the noise of religion. Listen to that voice, then follow it--right to the feet of Jesus." --Bob Goff, author of New York Times bestsellers Love Does and Everybody, Always "The book you hold in your hands is Donald Miller's Blue Like Jazz meets C. S. Lewis's Mere Christianity meets Augustine's Confessions. This book is going to awaken an entire generation to Jesus and His grace." --Derwin L. Gray, lead pastor of Transformation Church, author of Limitless Life: Breaking Free from the Labels That Hold You Back

The Cross and Salvation (Hardcover) by Bruce Demarest Pdf

With America's confidence in the Bible at an all-time low and the strength of her spiritual convictions waning, it is essential for Christians—especially Christian leaders—to be well-grounded in biblical theology. To have a clear and comprehensive understanding of the key doctrines of evangelicalism. In response, professor and award-winning author Bruce Demarest has made plain God's glorious plan of salvation, his provision for the human dilemma through Christ's work on the cross, and the application of saving grace to unbelievers. Demarest's unique approach defines each topic, identifies its most pressing issues, examines the ways in which the doctrine has been understood historically, and interprets the Bible's revelation. The result is a clear and carefully constructed doctrinal statement that you can defend, live out, and communicate to others. This singular, comprehensive treatment of one of Christianity's essential doctrines gives definitive, Bible-based answers about salvation and the cross— and about related theological issues such as grace and regeneration. It's perfect for clarifying your theology and gaining deep understanding of this foundational theme. Part of the Foundations of Evangelical Theology series.

Inspirations Spoken Day by Day by Debra Domino Pdf

Inspirations Spoken Day By Day – With Faith, Hope, and Love is a chronicle of daily thoughts inspired by interpretations from Bible verses. The bible verses bring meaning to daily life as nearly everything that happens has some reference to a verse in the bible. Inspirations Spoken Dy by Day – With Faith, Hope, and Love started as a simple five-minute daily ritual of connecting by text to send an uplifting message as an expression of showing support and concern between friends. As the days moved forward, the messages became like daily vitamins that gave hope to inspire each day. The concept inspired the project for Inspirations Spoken Day by Day – With Faith, Hope, and Love to share thoughts pulled from the mental thought library of the heart and soul while using the bible verses as sources of reference. The daily mental stimulation of the heart provided a type of therapy to soothe the emotional anguish from many of the raging changes that were happening after the eruption of the Covid-19 pandemic, and also other changes that upset normal life as it was known before. Sometimes the greatest support that can be given is to have someone who truly cares about your daily well-being and knows how to connect and render the care. This book has 366 days of verses, quotes, poetic thoughts, and inspirations that may be used as references to channel your own thoughts to make daily mental notes, goals, or take actions to help uplift your spirits each day.

Faith, Hope and Believe by Frances Louis Pdf

Faith, Hope, and Believe is a vision received from God. On one of the midnights I usually pray and worship, as my eyes were closed, worshipping God, I saw a yellow book, clearly written with white, Faith, Hope, and Believe. At first it was confusing, but it kept coming very boldly, even with my eyes closed. It was a vision. I could not understand it at first, then gradually, it all began to make sense and fall into place. Each chapter is a revelation from God expressing His love for mankind. We have always known faith, hope, and charity; faith, hope, and love; but now God is saying faith, hope, and believe. He wants us all to believe and be saved. That we need to translate from the Adam life to the new life he has brought for everyone who believes. It is not about religion but about relationship. This is the Spirit life we all need to have to escape from the judgment on the world. For those who worship God must worship only in this Spirit life and the truth of what He has done. I Shall Live by Faith by Ren E. J. an,Renee Jean Pdf

The Declaration of Independence was drafted by Thomas Jefferson and adopted by Congress in 1776, declaring the independence of the United States of America, "that all men are created equal [and] that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights." As a nation, we celebrate this independence annually on July 4th. The Declaration of His-dependence(TM) was drafted by Renée Jéan and adopted by the Lord Jesus Christ for worldwide distribution, declaring our dependence on the King of kings and Lord of lords--that all are fearfully and wonderfully made in His image and that we are endowed by the Holy Ghost with specific, unassailable power! Thus, as the people of God, we celebrate our dependence on the mighty God, both now and forevermore. The definition of the noun His-de-pend-ence is complete assurance, confidence, and faith in God. The noun's origin is from the Alpha and Omega, applicable in all languages and nations, for He is equivalent to none. Romans 1:17 confirms, "For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, the just shall live by faith." I Shall Live by Faith teaches us how to completely trust and depend on God, His promises, and His mandate over our lives. This book empowers readers to grow in their faith, decree and declare specific biblical entitlements, and accomplish what we speak by the authority of the Holy Ghost--by faith! This Book helps readers put into practice the principles of Faith established in the Word of God.

Texting Faith, Hope, and Love by JoAnn Willoughby Hays Pdf

I started writing down favorite scriptures, quotes, and sayings in fifth or sixth grade. I taught children's Bible classes for 42 years and public school classes for 29 years and I always found a way to use many of the quotes and sayings in all my classes. I still get excited when I see a great quote in a book or magazine, or even on a T-shirt. I have four grandchildren I adore, and I don't get to see them as often as I did when they were children, or during the pandemic. Cale is a graduate of Oklahoma Christian University and is busy with his career. Mackenzie will be a senior at the University of Oklahoma. Tate is a newlywed and is attending the Oklahoma State University's Fire Academy to become a firefighter, and our youngest, Danny, is a 6'4" basketball player who will be a junior at Edmond Memorial High School. I found a quote a few years ago from the gymnast, Gabby Douglas. She said, "By now, you've probably caught on to something: my mother is always standing by with just the right scripture or inspirational saying to get me through any tough situation." I was so blessed to have my grandchildren living in the same town when they were growing up and all four of them were in my sixth grade Sunday school class. I think all of us who are grandmothers want to be like Timothy's grandmother, Lois. I read Gabby's quote and realized how important that was to her. I can't stand by my grandchildren, but I thought I can text scriptures and quotes to them. Also, Corrie ten Boom's book, The Hiding Place came out when my girls were babies. I read it during their nap times. I also watched as many of her interviews as I could. She and her family were Christians in Holland and hid hundreds of Jews being smuggled to safety in a secret hiding place in their combination home and watch and clock repair store. Her entire family was caught by the Nazis and sent to concentration camps. They weren't allowed Bibles, so they taught people using the scriptures they had memorized. I heard her tell a story of finding a broken piece of pencil and writing scriptures down on little scraps of paper and giving them to people to give them hope. That inspired me to memorize more scriptures, so I could always have a Bible close to me. I started texting scriptures and different quotes to my grandkids group once or twice a week. I prayed that this would keep them in the Word and remind them their words and actions need to glorify God. One night I needed to send a new text and it took me about thirty minutes to write one and send it. I remember thinking I wish I could go online or go to Mardel's store to find a book that had the type of devotionals I wanted. My next thought was why don't I write one. I'm retired and I already have over thirty devotionals finished. I could just add about a hundred more and I would have a book of devotionals. I said a prayer and started compiling my devotion "lesson plan" book the next day.

Hope of Glory by Scott White Pdf

Hope is an often-used word. “I hope they win this,” you say about the big game. “I hope I’m not late,” you say before the job interview. At other times, you cling to hope. “I hope I’ll be a good parent,” you whisper to that newborn. “I hope they find out what it is,” you say waiting for test results. We all have hopes. But sometimes they are lost in struggles, burdens, heartaches, and despair. Sometimes, we sink into hopelessness. In Hope of Glory, author and minister Scott White shares a message of hope through Paul’s words in 1 Corinthians. “Faith, hope, and love abide.” Through a mixture of scripture, parables, and personal reflections, White analyzes men and women in the Bible who have found hope and some who have lost it. Hope of Glory encourages you to fill your own lives with faith, fill your days with love, and fill your hearts with hope.
