Christians Who Defended and Died for Prophet Muhammad and His Family by Mateen Charbonneau Pdf

In researching Islamic history I have found in many cases that some of the Christian's who lived during the time of the Holy Prophet (pbuh), and also during the times of the 12 imam's from his Holy household (pbut), stood up for them when they were being oppressed. It makes you wonder, why did these people stand up to defend the Prophet and his family when they belonged to a different religion? The Prophet and his family's character were so impressive to people that even the idol worshippers, who hated him, could not come up with anything bad to say about his morals. The Prophet's title, even before the Prophet hood, was Al-Ameen (the trustworthy) and As-Saadiq (the truthful). These Holy personalities shined their light on everyone they came in contact with. It was amazing for people to witness such sublime morality in a human being. Also during their times they treated everyone equitably and just. The Christian's felt safe under the Prophet and Imam Ali's rule and they were taken care of by them. The Ahl ul Bayt (The Prophet and his family) felt it their duty to help their fellow human being if they were able to do so. When the Christians witnessed the Prophet's family being oppressed some of the monks acknowledged the right of their Imamate (divine leadership) and they stood up for justice and died defending them.In this humble attempt I have compiled some historical accounts of Muhammad (pbuh) and his Family's treatment towards Christian's during their respected times. Also I have included historical accounts of Christian's who protected the Holy Prophet and some who gladly laid down their lives for his Holy family. I hope this book will show the reader of how the true relationship between Islam and Christianity was and how it should be today. This is the Islam that was practiced by Muhammad and his Family, not the Islam that was hijacked by the corrupt rulers after our Prophet's martyrdom. Prophet Muhammad treated everyone with justice and equality, but the rulers who took away the divine leadership from his family performed a lot of terrible deeds in the name of Islam. We need to recognize the bad things these corrupt rulers did and disassociate them and their actions from Islam and show people the true form of Islam as taught to us by our Prophet Muhammad and his Household. It is up to us as God fearing people to bridge the gaps that have been built between the two religions of Christianity and Islam and to treat each other kindly with the aim to please the one and only God that created us all. Imam Ali is reported as saying "Know that people are of two types: they are either your brothers in religion or your equals in creation." Mateen J. Charbonneau

The Suffering of the Ahl UL Bayt and Their Followers (Shia) Throughout History by Mateen Joshua Charbonneau Pdf

Imam Baqir (as) said “Since the death of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) we Ahl ul bayt have been humiliated, made distant and have been deprived and killed and made to leave our home town and we felt frightened for our blood and the blood of our followers. The cheaters, through their lies, got nearer to the leaders, judges and governors in every city and our enemies told false and invalid traditions relating to their past leaders and quoted riwayah (narrations) that we had never told. They only wanted to humiliate us and wanted to accuse us of falsehood, and wanted to get nearer to their leaders through lies. After the passing away of Hasan (a.s) this became very common during thetime of Muawiyah. At that time, in every city, Shias were killed, their hands and feet were cut off and they were hanged on accusations of their being near to us and talking about their love for us.Then after that adversities increased in numbers and strength, from the martyrdom of Husayn (a.s) until the time of ibn Ziyad. Then came Hajjaj and he killed them (Shia of Ali) for every doubt and accusation until it was said that this person (Shia) was Zindiq (atheist) and majusi (Zoroastrian) and Hajjaj liked it better that these words be used rather than say that they were Shia of Husayn, peace be upon him.”Study and see how the Family of the Holy Prophet (sawa) were treated after the martyrdom of our beloved Prophet (sawa). How the Prophet (sawa) was poisoned, How his beloved daughter Fatima (as) was crushed behind the door, whipped and made to miscarriage her unborn son Muhsin (as) all while they were setting fire to her house while her children the masters of the youths of paradise Hassan (as) and Hussain (as) were inside. How they stole her land of Fadak and source of income as a way to put economic sanctions on them. How Imam Ali (as) was made to suffer under the rule of these oppressive rulers who stole his rights and then eventually killed him by a fatal blow of a sword while he was in prostration to his Lord. How they tortured and killed his followers, the shia, by cutting out their tongues, burying them alive inside of walls, crucifying them, exiling them, cutting off their heads and the list goes on. How they poisoned Imam Hassan (as) then obstructed his body from being buried beside his Grandfather the Messenger of Allah (sawa). How they Brutally massacred Imam Hussain (as), his family, friends and even his 6 month old baby, while all of them had been without food and water for three consecutive days. How they imprisoned his women and children and made them march in chains from Karbala to the prison of Damascus while whipping them and with all of the heads of their loved ones mounted on spears in the front of the army of these devils. How all of the Imam's to follow, except Imam Mahdi (atf), were all killed by poison.“Surely those who tormented the believing men and the believing women and then did not repent, theirs shall be the chastisement of Hell, and theirs shall be the chastisement of burning.” Quran 85:10In this brief attempt I have compiled different excerpts to make a summary and to inform the masses of the oppressive events that took place to the Ahl-ul- Bayt (family of Muhammad) and their Shia (followers). I have included all of the books that I referenced for this project so that you may study them. I hope that you as the reader benefit from this work and that you grow closer to our Imam's, inshAllah (God willing).Mateen J. Charbonneau

The Mystery of the Shia by Mateen J. Charbonneau Pdf

“Knowing the contents of this informative book is a necessity for every Muslim. I believe that the contents of this book can have a huge impact on the lives of many Muslims in the West, and it can be a good start for gaining more knowledge about the religion of Islam. I would also encourage the Muslim community to appreciate and support this work. I want to take this opportunity to thank brother Mateen for his hard work and efforts. May Allah (SWT) increase his blessings and bestow His mercy upon him.”- Sheikh Mustafa Akhound, Imam Ali Center, Springfield VAThe idea that prompted me to write this book was due to the fact that so many new converts to Shia Islam would always ask me why we did things differently than other sects. They would be exposed to different things upon going to various mosques. They would ask me why people pray with their hands by their sides while others would fold their arms, why was the call to prayer different, what is that “stone” we prostrate on, etc.? I used to find myself explaining these things on a daily basis, so I decided to write these questions and answers down and share them with people who came to me. That was the first phase of this project. Later on I decided to add the Usul-e-Deen (roots of religion) and Furu-e-Deen (branches of religion) being that these differ from other schools of thought as well. After I looked at what I had put together I thought that this would be a very beneficial piece of information for new converts to Islam. This was designed to help them not only to learn why Shia believe and practice the way we do, but also to learn with clear proofs from the sources. I then proceeded to add a few other chapters to help give a good basic foundation for one to start in their quest for knowledge. In total this work deals with a variety of topics including:• Usul-e-Deen• Furu-e-Deen• The Word Shia and its Meaning• The 30 rights of a Muslim• Forbidden acts of a Muslim• Some Important Dates and Things to Know• Cleanliness in Islam• Wudhu• Salat• Ahadith showing the importance of knowing the Ahl ul Bayt (as)• Why we say bismillah aloud in salat• Why we say hayya ala khayril amal in adhan• Why we dont fold our hands in salat• Why we takbir 3 times after salat• Why we dont say as-salatu khayrum min nawm in our fajr adhan• Why we say taslim once while looking straight instead of turning our head right and left• Why we prostrate on turbah• Why we say aliyan waliyallah in our adhan and iqamah

The Covenants of the Prophet Muhammad with the Christians of the World by John Andrew Morrow Pdf

The Prophet Muhammad s treaties with the Christians of his time, which John Andrew Morrow has rediscovered in obscure collections and often newly translated, uniformly state that Muslims are not to attack peaceful Christian communities, but defend them until the End of the World. Authored by the Prophet himself, they represent a third foundational pillar for Islam outside of Qur an and hadith. The Covenants Initiative within the book represents a movement by Muslims, both prominent and unknown, in support of Christians under attack. These treaties desperately need to be better known among Christians, Muslims, and the general public. For scholars, this book provides much difficult-to-obtain material: facsimiles of primary sources in Arabic and Persian; corrected versions in modern Arabic typescript; and alternate translations. They now have all they need to study the covenants in depth. "This narrative has the power to unite Muslim and Christian communities. A work of scholarship, its release is timely, and its content critical in fostering mutual respect and religious freedom."--IMAM FEISAL ABDUL RAUF, Chairman, Cordoba Initiative "In his indispensable contribution to the study of the Abrahamic faiths, John Andrew Morrow tells the story of how the Prophet Muhammad used his desert experiences of hospitality and protection to bring Muslims and Christians together."--JOSEPH HOBBS, University of Missouri "These letters from the Prophet Muhammad to Christian communities can serve to inspire both Muslims and Christians about our ability to live together as God's people, as friends, as neighbors, and as custodians of the same small planet."--OMID SAFI, University of North Carolina "With painstaking effort and much dedication invested in this groundbreaking work, Professor Morrow will surely manage to attract the attention of Islamic studies students and specialists."--AMAR SELLAM, Mohamed I University "This book documents what is possibly the third foundational source of Islam: the Prophet's treaties and covenants among people of the Abrahamic faiths. Dr. Morrow brings forth exceptionally important findings that dictate peaceful coexistence among Jews, Christians, and Muslims."--BRIDGET BLOMFIELD, University of Nebraska

Commentary to the Faith of Shia Islam by Allama Al-Muzaffar by Sheikh Mateen Charbonneau Pdf

The book Aqaed Imamiyya by Allama Muzaffar is a great book outlining the faith of Shia Islam. It is usually studied in the first years of Howza 'Ilmiyya (seminary). The book is a very brief outline of our beliefs and thus the teacher usually expands on the subjects to give further knowledge to his students. I originally studied this text with Sheikh Mustafa Akhound in early 2014. In 2016 I was asked to teach this book for Imam Mahdi Online Howza. I started preparing my lessons to record and decided to make them into book form for everyone to benefit from them. The formatting of this book is as follows: the original Arabic text is presented first, the translation of the text is second bracketed in bold text and lastly is my commentary of the text which is in regular font. When looking at each topic I chose to bring more evidences to support the proofs of Allama Muzaffar in attempt to remove any shadow of a doubt within the readers mind. I brought Quranic verses, narrations, logic and various scholars opinions. I also addressed some common doubts and misconceptions that people have in hopes to erase those doubts. Lastly, I brought moral and ethical points to show the practical application of some of these topics that Allama Muzaffar has brought within his book.

Paul Meets Muhammad by Michael R. Licona Pdf

Imagine if the Apostle Paul were alive to defend the truth of Jesus's resurrection-only to be countered by none other than the prophet Muhammad himself. In an approach as creative as any scholar has taken, Michael R. Licona describes an invention that can make historical figures appear alive and present. Imagining an audience of both Christians and Muslims, Licona crafts a lively debate between Paul and Muhammad, each speaking on and analyzing the validity of the Qur'an, the gospel accounts, and both Christian and Muslim doctrine. Intriguing and entertaining, Paul Meets Muhammad uniquely offers evangelism advice for Christians who want to speak the gospel to Muslim friends and neighbors. This fictional scenario presents a powerful, comprehensive defense of Jesus's resurrection and of Christianity itself.

The First Thousand Years by Robert Louis Wilken Pdf

“[A] brilliant survey of the development of Christianity . . . tells a riveting story of a struggling young religion searching for an identity.” —Publishers Weekly This sweeping history begins with the life of Jesus and narrates the remarkable story of Christianity as it unfolded over the next thousand years. Unique in its global scope, the book encompasses the vast geographical span of early Christianity, from the regions around the Mediterranean Sea through the Middle East and beyond to central Asia, India, and China. Robert Louis Wilken, beloved professor and renowned author, selects people and events of particular importance in Christian history to bring into focus the full drama of the new religion’s development. The coming of Christianity, he demonstrates, set in motion one of the most profound revolutions the world has known. Wilken tracks the growth of Christian communities around the ancient world and shows how the influence of Christianity led not only to the remaking of cultures but also to the creation of new civilizations. He explores the powerful impact of the rise and spread of Islam on Christianity and devotes several chapters to the early experiences of Christians under Muslim rule in the Middle East, Egypt, north Africa, and Spain. By expanding the telling of Christian history to encompass perspectives beyond just those of the West, Wilken highlights how interactions with new peoples and languages changed early Christian practices, even as the shared rituals of Christian people bound them in spiritual unity despite their deep cultural differences. “Ambitious and wide-ranging . . . [This] highly accessible volume abounds with lively tales and fascinating connections.” — The Christian Century
