Seraphin's Spirituality School by Rosie Jackson Pdf

An angel speaks SERAPHIN'S SPIRITUALITY SCHOOL Your divine role: creating an era of peace By Rosie Jackson When faced with a world characterised by corruption, conflict and discord, many people feel distressed and helpless. How can we create an era of peace? The answers can be found in the remarkable telepathic messages of the angel named Seraphin. Seraphin is an angel, who identifies himself as being a member of the Legion of Light for the manifestation of spiritual truth, through the arts. Rosie Jackson has been receiving telepathic messages from Seraphin since 2010. The material in this book, a selection of 111 Seraphin Messages, has five distinct purposes. Firstly, the chapter "Messages from the other side", intends to encourage readers to start a writing journey which is similar to that of Rosie Jackson. You too can contact your guides and talk to your Father fragment. In this way, you can "download" information and guidance relevant to your particular task on earth. As your spiritual abilities progress, you will gain ever increasing confidence, and you will become a source of inspiration for others. Secondly, the chapters entitled Your Divine Purpose, Transcending Your Past, Creating Your Future, and Your Relationships, intend to further the reader`s own spiritual path, assisting him or her to develop potential fully, achieve excellency, and to use these skills and knowledge for the benefit of all. Thirdly, the chapter Preparing for Transition aims to provide advice on how to deal with the intense times of transformation ahead. Due to our present position in the photon belt (as well as other situations which require closure), our planet is showered with highly powered cosmic energies. These create enormous change, supporting everything of divine nature. They simultaneously expose and destroy everything which is not aligned with divine intention. Fourthly, the chapters on rebuilding our world offer instructions on how to address practical problems. They also highlight which qualities we should manifest in order to maintain peace, beauty and abundance on our world. Fifthly, the goal of the last chapter, entitled Reconnecting to the Universe, aims to increase our awareness of our galactic neighbours who continually and lovingly observe us. After thousands of years of disconnection, we will finally resume our membership of the cosmic family.

Who Are You Wearing? by Pier Angela Belton Pdf

Who Are You Wearing? I'm Wearing An Original by God The devil may wear Prada for a season, but Jesus is wearing Aerosoles for a lifetime. "Who Are You Wearing?" is a stylish Christian book that takes an entertaining look at the world of fashion from a biblical perspective. We live in a world today where the media on the red carpet has become so obsessed with the famous fashion question, "Who are you wearing?" When celebrities are asked this question they have no problem giving a shout out to their favorite fashion designers. I often wondered what Christians would say if a reporter asked them amidst hundreds of cameras, "Who are you wearing?" Over the years there have been many well-known fashion designers whose creations have been duplicated and whose style has come and gone, but there is only one supreme designer whose creation has never been duplicated. He is the ultimate designer, he is God Almighty. "Who Are You Wearing?" reminds Christian women that God is the original designer of all styles, colors, shapes and patterns. While the world of fashion is constantly changing, the word of God will always remain in style. The devil may wear Prada for a season, but Jesus is wearing Aerosoles for a lifetime. For the woman who loves her accessories, God has designed an awesome accessory ensemble starting from the top of your head to soles of your feet called the full armor of God. When you read 'Who Are You Wearing" you will learn how wearing the full armor of God will bless your life and the lives of those around you.

Priestly and Prophetic Reflections: a Weekly Devotional from the Fisk Memorial Chapel by Reverend Jason Richard Curry Ph.D. Pdf

Many of the people that I admired over the years were local or nationally renowned ministers and pastoral who were also authors and scholars. Some of these individuals received both national and international recognition for their contribution to the church and the academy (e.g., Dr. Samuel DeWitt Proctor, Dr. Howard Thurman, Bishop Vashti McKenzie and Dr. Cheryl Townsend-Gilkes), while others received love, acclaim, gratitude from their congregants and constituents of their church and local community.

The Sacred Gaze by Susan R. Pitchford Pdf

Eight hundred years ago, Clare of Assisi advised a correspondent to gaze into the mirror of the crucified Christ and study her own face within it. A hundred years ago, sociologist Charles Horton Cooley said we can know our self only as it is reflected to us by others. Contemplation is the choice to find our reflection in the divine Mirror. In The Sacred Gaze, Susan Pitchford explores how a false self is created by distortions in the mirrors around us. Drawing from the mystical and sociological traditions, and with practical suggestions for how to begin, Pitchford shows how gazing into the face of Christ can reveal to us who we really are. When the true self is known, and known as God’s beloved, the way is opened to radical freedom and joy.

Makeover TV by Brenda R. Weber Pdf

In 2004, roughly 25 makeover-themed reality shows aired on U.S. television. By 2009, there were more than 250, from What Not to Wear and The Biggest Loser to Dog Whisperer and Pimp My Ride. In Makeover TV, Brenda R. Weber argues that whether depicting transformations of bodies, trucks, finances, relationships, kids, or homes, makeover shows posit a self achievable only in the transition from the “Before-body”—the overweight figure, the decrepit jalopy, the cluttered home—to the “After-body,” one filled with confidence, coded with celebrity, and imbued with a renewed faith in the powers of meritocracy. The rationales and tactics invoked to achieve the After-body vary widely, from the patriotic to the market-based, and from talk therapy to feminist empowerment. The genre is unified by its contradictions: to uncover your “true self,” you must be reinvented; to be empowered, you must surrender to experts; to be special, you must look and act like everyone else. Based on her analysis of more than 2,500 hours of makeover TV, Weber argues that the much-desired After-body speaks to and makes legible broader cultural narratives about selfhood, citizenship, celebrity, and Americanness. Although makeovers are directed at both male and female viewers, their gendered logic requires that feminized subjects submit to the controlling expertise wielded by authorities. The genre does not tolerate ambiguity. Conventional (middle-class, white, ethnically anonymous, heterosexual) femininity is the goal of makeovers for women. When subjects are male, makeovers often compensate for perceived challenges to masculine independence by offering men narrative options for resistance or control. Foregoing a binary model of power and subjugation, Weber provides an account of makeover television that is as appreciative as it is critical. She reveals the makeover show as a rich and complicated text that expresses cultural desires and fears through narratives of selfhood.

True Woman 101: Divine Design by Mary A Kassian,Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth Pdf

What does it mean to be a woman? The current cultural ideal for womanhood encourages women to be strident, sexual, self-centered, independent -- and above all -- powerful and in control. But sadly, this model of womanhood hasn't delivered the happiness and fulfillment it promised. The Bible teaches that it's not up to us to decide what womanhood is all about. God created male and female for a very specific purpose. His design isn't arbitrary or unimportant. It is very intentional and He wants women to discover, embrace, and delight in the beauty of His design. He's looking for True Women! Bible teachers Mary A. Kassian and Nancy Leigh DeMoss share the key fundamentals of biblical womanhood in this eight week study. Each week includes five daily individual lessons leading to a group time of sharing and digging deeper into God's Word. And to enhance this time of learning together, on-line videos are available featuring Mary and Nancy as they encourage women to discover and embrace God's design and mission for their lives. A True Woman Book The goal of the True Woman publishing line is to encourage women to: Discover, embrace, and delight in God's divine design and mission for their lives Reflect the beauty and heart of Jesus Christ to their world Intentionally pass the baton of Truth on to the next generation Pray earnestly for an outpouring of God's Spirit in their families, churches, nation and world

Lost but Making Excellent Time by Jody Seymour Pdf

In Lost but Making Excellent Time, Jody Seymour reminds readers that the ways and pace of our fast-track world lead to a place where we discover that we are traveling at breakneck speed but that our spirits are being left behind. Seymour uses prose and poetry to reclaim the ancient cycle of the Christian year as a new way to slow down and discover who we really are. The Christian year becomes a kind of compass to be used so that travelers through our rat-race existence can become aware that we are really fashioned by a Master Hand not to be tourists but pilgrims. The words of this book can become a kind of pilgrim's guide to keep readers from being lost while making excellent time.

Linking Arms, Linking Lives by Ronald J. Sider,John Perkins,F. Albert Tizon Pdf

Among the various lines drawn between people in the church--male and female, young and old, black and white, rich and poor, Republican and Democrat--there is the line between the urban and the suburban. The stereotypes of the edgy, socially active, multicultural urban Christian and the middle-class, comfortable, upwardly mobile suburban Christian mix fact and fiction. Linking Arms, Linking Lives looks beyond stereotypes and makes a compelling case for partnership that crosses urban and suburban for effective ministry among the poor. Drawing from a growing network of development practitioners, pastors, and theologians, this book focuses on the experiences of partnership between urban and suburban entities to provide both theological foundations and practical guidelines for those who desire to partner effectively. All who want to find viable ways to help the poor will welcome this thoughtful and hope-filled book. Includes a Foreword by Noel Castellanos.
