The Forty-Two Stops the Israelites Made on Their Journey from Egypt to Canaan's Land by B. R. Hicks Pdf

The experience that Israel encountered in their journey from Egyptian bondage to freedom in the Promised Land -- Canaan's Land -- were lessons to help them grow spiritually from the relationship of a Son in Egypt, to the relationship of an Espoused-Bride in the wilderness, to being the LORD Jesus Christ's Spiritual Wife in Canaan's Land. All the stops they made in Egypt, in the wilderness, and in Canaan's Land present types and shadows of the lessons we need to learn in our pilgrim journey from Earth to the Heavenly Canaan's Land -- the New City or New Jerusalem -- which will be the eternal abode of the Bride of Jesus Christ, the Prize at the end of our way. Not many Israelites learned the lessons God had planned for them, so they missed their chance to live in the land of milk and honey. The Lessons in this book will help you to avoid their mistakes.

Hebrews: Jesus Christ, Redemption Accomplished by Practical Christianity Foundation Pdf

Jesus Christ, Redemption Accomplished The book of Hebrews is a sacred proclamation of the supremacy of Jesus Christ. Being the Son of God with the Name above all names, Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the Law, the prophets, and the Psalms. Having spoken through the Prophets of the Old Testament, God finally spoke through His Son Jesus Christ both as the Completer of God's plan of redemption and the fulfillment of the same as the perfect Sacrifice, satisfying the Law. The book of Hebrews assures us that Jesus Christ is our High Priest Who took His own holy and sinless Blood into the heavenly sanctuary, offering it to God as the eternal atonement for the redemption of the lost. In sum, The author of Hebrews is essentially telling his readers and Christians across the ages: Do not abandon your hope in Jesus. Keep your eye fixed on Him Who is your salvation. Never forget that Jesus is your High Priest. He has entered the presence of the Father in heaven and intercedes for you. He is your sure foundation in a world that is otherwise passing away. He will lead you safely home where you will dwell in His presence forevermore!

Milton and the English Revolution by Christopher Hill Pdf

Remarkable reinterpretation of Milton and his poetry by one of the most famous historians of the 17th Century In this remarkable book Christopher Hill used the learning gathered in a lifetime's study of seventeenth-century England to carry out a major reassessment of Milton as man, politician, poet, and religious thinker. The result is a Milton very different from most popular imagination: instead of a gloomy, sexless 'Puritan', we have a dashingly original thinker, branded with the contemporary reputation of a libertine. For Hill, Milton is an author who found his real stimulus less in the literature of classical and times and more in the political and religious radicalism of his own day. Hill demonstrates, with originality, learning and insight, how Milton's political and religious predicament is reflected in his classic poetry, particularly 'Paradise Lost' and 'Samson Agonistes'.

The Perfect Priest by John Hundley Pdf

The writer of the Book of Hebrews takes everything the Jew of his day held dear and compares it to Christ. Needless to say, it is all found shamefully wanting. The thing that was perhaps the dearest to these Hebrews was the Old Testament priesthood, which included the Temple, its sacrifices, and the priests in all their glory. The writer of Hebrews shows Christ to be a better Priest, His sacrifice to be supreme, and the place where He renders His services to be the greatest. He shows the Priesthood ministry of Jesus to be flawless and a perfect alternative to a worn-out system that could never meet the needs of mankind. You will find The Perfect Priest refreshing and enlightening as well as inspiring.

A Victorious Destination with God by Beauty Shiviti Pdf

This book talks about walking a successful journey with God. Looking back to the History of the Israelites, you will understand that a journey has obstacles. God speaks through history to give an example of Israelites’ deliverance from degrading bondage of some kind to the promise land, Canaan. Israel was delivered from Egypt’s degrading bondage simple because God has promised them a destiny free of slavery and bondage. When God promise his children a place where they have to travel, He makes it a point that they arrive safe under the protection of His hand. Israel, led by Moses, wandered in the Sinai wilderness. During that time, Israel experienced supernatural providence such as the supply of manna, water from rocks, and the pillar of cloud by day and fire by night, and so forth. During that time, they also received divine revelation the Mosaic Law. God communicated to them His holy standard. Everyone in this world is in the journey. People want to see themselves in Canaan, a place of success. The land of Canaan represents the destination of God’s people after they have been set free from degrading bondage or slavery. Canaan is a picture of rest and victory that can be enjoyed by every believer. You as a believer in the journey led by God are going to enjoy your success because God will ensure that you do. The deliverance from Egypt was only in preparation for the enjoyment of Canaan. In your Christian life, you are brought out of sin so that you may be brought in to abundant life. The wilderness is never God’s permanent destination for you. Even as an entire generation of Israel died in the wilderness, so many Christians die in the desert of dryness of spiritual experience. This book is meant to remind you that you don’t have to die without making it in life. You need the fullness of God to direct your journey. Entrance into the land of Canaan was entrusted to a representative. Joshua was the trustee of the land for the people. In the same way, your representative Jesus goes before you and what you have in God you possess in Him. The whole land was given, but they could only possess that which they claimed. What they took must be fought for against a determined opposition. God certainly could have simply eliminated all their enemies with a mere thought, but He calls Israel into partnership with Himself to see His will done. You need to partner with God and never entertain things of this world for you to reach your destination. Because taking the land took effort, the challenge ahead was not for those content with Egypt, but for those who would press ahead for what God had called them to. The precise territory of the land is described. This was no “Pizza in the sky” promise. It described real land with real boundaries. It could not be easy anyway, so is your dream. “I will be with you” God promised. Victory is assured not because Joshua is a great leader, or because Israel is a great nation, but because God is a great God, and He says to Joshua, “I will be with you.” This is enough for any man seeking to do God’s will. “Be strong and very courageous” Joshua is called to boldness in God. This exposes Joshua’s weakness; there was a need for such a command, because even a great leader like Joshua needed such encouragement. Boldness is needed to everyone one who needs Canaan. You can’t be weak. This bold courage would not be in Joshua himself, but in God. You can be full of self-confidence that will take you to ruin, but you should instead be full of a genuine God-confidence. Joshua must take great care to observe the law. God’s word and Joshua’s commitment to it would be the pillars supporting his success. You also need the word of God as a pillar supporting
