Heron Mill Tenebris by K L Taylor-Lane Pdf

Mother said I'm strange, I am. I am strange. I am violent. I am wanted. I am not Mother. Heron Mill is our home. A fortress where there's solace in the shadows, obsession in the darkness and horror in the basement. I found love here. But now there's a stranger in my house, another inside my head, and something... someone is stalking me through the shadows. I am haunted. I am hunted. I am hurting. I'm losing grip on everything I thought I knew, on myself, on our safety, on him. There are dangers looming that threaten to tear us apart, and I think, just maybe, one of them could be me. This is book 2 of Hunter and Grace's story. Book 1 - Heron Mill must be read first. This was not a planned continuation, meaning book 1 - Heron Mill can still be read and enjoyed as a standalone if you so wish. The Blackwell Brothers is a series of interconnected standalones, but each book can be read individually. *Please read with caution, this is a dark gothic horror romance, the characters in this book do not and will not conform to society's standards or normalities. This book does have a happy ever after.*

Rook Point by K. L. Taylor-Lane Pdf

It started when I was just a boy. My obsession. An inheritance the men in my family seem to be gifted, one that feels a lot like a disease. It was love at first sight. Hair the colour of fire, eyes crafted of the deepest jade. I was captivated by her instantly, enthralled, but it was not meant to be, our worlds were already vastly different. Destinies not meant to intertwine. My family worked for people like her, they didn't marry them. The Princess of the Irish Mob. The eldest son of The Firm's disposal crew. So, I grew up, I moved on, and I spent long nights in bars drowning dangerous thoughts of her. But, it seems, with time, things can change. One night, one debt, one single game of cards. And in a sick twist of fate, a treasure that should never be mine was suddenly within my grasp. *DATE IS A PLACEHOLDER ONLY* *This is Thorne Blackwell and Haisley Kelly's story, it is a dark gothic mafia forbidden MF romance. The Fraternitas Saturni by Stephen E. Flowers Pdf

The most in-depth work in English on the most influential secret magic group of 20th-century Germany, the Fraternitas Saturni, or Brotherhood of Saturn • Explores the history of the Order from its founding the late 1960s • Transcribes many rituals and practices in such detail that readers will be able to undertake their own experiential work • Examines the Order’s teachings on cosmology, the Kabbalah, the Saturnian Sacraments, electrical magic, and sexual mysticism--the Yoga of the Dark Light • Includes biographies of prominent members, including founder Gregor A. Gregorius, Karl Spiesberger (Frater Eratus), and Albin Grau (Master Pacitius) The most influential magical group in Germany during the 20th century, the Fraternitas Saturni, or Brotherhood of Saturn, is still the most active and important magical society in Germany today. But from its formal beginnings in 1926 in Weimar Berlin until around 1970 it was almost totally secret. Most of what is known about the Order in the English-speaking world is fragmentary and focuses exclusively on the sensational sex-magic practices and Luciferian tendencies of this magical lodge. Presenting the most in-depth work in English on the Fraternitas Saturni, Stephen Flowers examines the history of the Order from the mid-1920s to the late 1960s when the Order was fundamentally reformed. He details their path of initiation, secret doctrines, ritual practices, and magical formulas and offers biographies of the Order’s most prominent members, including founder Gregor A. Gregorius, Karl Spiesberger (Frater Eratus), Albin Grau (Master Pacitius), and Franz Saettler (Dr. Musallam). Exploring the Brotherhood’s guiding principles, he shows that at the heart of Saturnian ideology is the idea of Saturn-Gnosis: the interplay of opposing forces in the universe leading to the realization of the individual self as a god-like entity. He examines the Order’s teachings on cosmology, the Kabbalah, the Saturnian Sacraments, electrical magic, sexo-cosmology, sex-magic rites, and sexual mysticism--the Yoga of the Dark Light--and transcribes many of their actual rituals and practices, including the highly controversial Gradus Pentalphae, in such detail that readers will be able to undertake their own experiential work. Explaining the meanings of all 33 grades of the Order, the author also looks at the infamous Freemasonic Order of the Golden Centurium, the cult of Adonism, the links between Thelema and the Fraternitas Saturni, and the rare teachings of Master Pacitius (Albin Grau), the visual genius behind the film Nosferatu. He also includes rare reports by Aleister Crowley concerning his interaction with some of the forerunners to the Order and letters from the Order’s founder, Gregor A. Gregorius, to the “Great Beast.”

The Journey of a Book by Elizabeth Keen Pdf

De proprietatibus rerum, ‘On the properties of things’, has long been referred to by scholars as a medieval encyclopedia, but evidence suggests that it has been many things to many people. The sheer number of extant manuscript copies and printed editions, along with translations, adaptations, and mentions in poems and sermons, testify to its continuous significance for Europeans of all estates and different walks of life, from the thirteenth to the seventeenth centuries. While first compiled soon after the time of St Francis by a humble continental friar to meet the needs of his expanding religious brotherhood, by 1600 English men of letters had claimed Bartholomew as a noble compatriot and national treasure. What was it about the work that propelled it through a progression of medieval cultures and into an exalted position in the world of English letters? This reception history traces evidence for the journey of ‘Properties’ over four centuries of social, political and religious change.

Theatre and Metatheatre by Elodie Paillard,Silvia Sueli Milanezi Pdf

The aim of this book is to explore the definition(s) of ‘theatre’ and ‘metatheatre’ that scholars use when studying the ancient Greek world. Although in modern languages their meaning is mostly straightforward, both concepts become problematical when applied to ancient reality. In fact, ‘theatre’ as well as ‘metatheatre’ are used in many different, sometimes even contradictory, ways by modern scholars. Through a series of papers examining questions related to ancient Greek theatre and dramatic performances of various genres the use of those two terms is problematized and put into question. Must ancient Greek theatre be reduced to what was performed in proper theatre-buildings? And is everything was performed within such buildings to be considered as ‘theatre’? How does the definition of what is considered as theatre evolve from one period to the other? As for ‘metatheatre’, the discussion revolves around the interaction between reality and fiction in dramatic pieces of all genres. The various definitions of ‘metatheatre’ are also explored and explicited by the papers gathered in this volume, as well as the question of the distinction between paratheatre (understood as paratragedy/comedy) and metatheatre. Readers will be encouraged by the diversity of approaches presented in this book to re-think their own understanding and use of ‘theatre’ and ‘metatheatre’ when examining ancient Greek reality.

She was everything that I wanted. He was everything that I despised.Until she wasn't.Until he wasn't.Killian Cornelii was a walking calamity. He reached inside of me and touched every single inch of my ruined soul, but he didn't just touch it. He caressed, petted, and captivated it. He tailored me to fit into the palm of his hands. The same hands that possess so much cruelty, were the very same that comforted me.I thought I knew him.He thought he knew me.This isn't a fairy tale, or some achingly beautiful story about two soul mates who instantly fall irrevocably in love with each other. This is a story about a love so painful, so rich, that it destroys everything and everyone around it.Including ourselves.Midnight Mayhem is the platform to which Killian performs his tricks on, but the greatest trick wouldn't come from him.It would come from me.Tricksters don't have hearts. They just pretend that they do.Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

SOUR CANDY by Kealan Patrick Burke Pdf

At first glance, Phil Pendleton and his son Adam are just an ordinary father and son, no different from any other. They take walks in the park together, visit county fairs, museums, and zoos, and eat together overlooking the lake. Some might say the father is a little too accommodating given the lack of discipline when the child loses his temper in public. Some might say he spoils his son by allowing him to set his own bedtimes and eat candy whenever he wants. Some might say that such leniency is starting to take its toll on the father, given how his health has declined. What no one knows is that Phil is a prisoner, and that up until a few weeks ago and a chance encounter at a grocery store, he had never seen the child before in his life. A novella from the Bram Stoker Award-winning author of THE TURTLE BOY and KIN.

American Delirium by Betina González Pdf

"One dizzying vortex, combining colonial history, generational delusions and psychedelic drug trips. . . . An eerily familiar vision of American madness and decay." —The New York Times Book Review From award-winning novelist Argentine Betina González, American Delirium is a dizzying, luminous English-language debut about an American town overrun by a mysterious hallucinogen and the collision of three unexpected characters through the mayhem. In a small Midwestern city, the deer population starts attacking people. So Beryl, a feisty senior and ex-hippie with a troubled past, decides to take matters into her own hands, training a squad of fellow retirees to hunt the animals down and to prove to society they’re capable of more than playing bingo. At the same time, a group of protesters decides to abandon the “system” and live in the woods, leaving behind the demands of modern life—including their children. Nine-year-old Berenice never thought her mother would join the dropouts, but she’s been gone for several days, leaving only a few clues about her past for Berenice to piece together. Vik, a taxidermist at the natural history museum and an immigrant from the Caribbean, is beginning to see the connections among the dropouts, the deer, and the discord. He’s not normally the type to speak up, but when he finds a woman living in his closet, he’s forced to get involved. Each of these engrossing characters holds a key to the city’s unraveling—despite living on the margins of society—and just as their lives start to spin out of control, they rescue one another in surprising ways.
