Modeling the Performance Indicators of Financial Assets with Neutrosophic Fuzzy Numbers by Marcel-Ioan Bolos , Ioana-Alexandra Bradea,Camelia Delcea Pdf

This research sets the basis for modeling the performance indicators of financial assets using triangular neutrosophic fuzzy numbers. This type of number allows for the modeling of financial assets performance indicators by taking into consideration all the possible scenarios of their achievement. The key performance indicators (KPIs) modeled with the help of triangular fuzzy neutrosophic numbers are the return on financial assets, the financial assets risk, and the covariance between financial assets.

Optimization of Financial Asset Neutrosophic Portfolios by Marcel-Ioan Boloș,Ioana-Alexandra Bradea, Camelia Delcea Pdf

The purpose of this paper was to model, with the help of neutrosophic fuzzy numbers, the optimal financial asset portfolios, offering additional information to those investing in the capital market. The optimal neutrosophic portfolios are those categories of portfolios consisting of two or more financial assets, modeled using neutrosophic triangular numbers, that allow for the determination of financial performance indicators, respectively the neutrosophic average, the neutrosophic risk, for each financial asset, and the neutrosophic covariance as well as the determination of the portfolio return, respectively of the portfolio risk.

Value at Risk Based on Fuzzy Numbers by Maria Letizia Guerra,Laerte Sorini Pdf

Value at Risk (VaR) has become a crucial measure for decision making in risk management over the last thirty years and many estimation methodologies address the finding of the best performing measure at taking into account unremovable uncertainty of real financial markets. One possible and promising way to include uncertainty is to refer to the mathematics of fuzzy numbers and to its rigorous methodologies which offer flexible ways to read and to interpret properties of real data which may arise in many areas. The paper aims to show the effectiveness of two distinguished models to account for uncertainty in VaR computation; initially, following a non parametric approach, we apply the Fuzzy-transform approximation function to smooth data by capturing fundamental patterns before computing VaR.

Performance Evaluation of Mutual Funds Via Single Valued Neutrosophic Set (SVNS) Perspective: A Case Study in Turkey by Serpil Altınırmak ,Yavuz Gül ,Basil Oluoch Okoth Pdf

The aim of this study was to use the Single-Valued Neutrosophic Set (SVNS) to analyze 58 mutual funds, traded at the Istanbul Stock Exchange, under incomplete, indeterminate and inconsistent information. To this end, the performance of the funds was first evaluated using the most commonly preferred criteria like the Morningstar rating, Sharpe ratio, Treynor ratio, and Jensen ratio. Following these criteria, SVNS based entropy was used to rank the funds. The results of the entropy weights revealed Morningstar rating to be the most important evaluation criterion followed by Treynor, Sharpe and Jensen ratios respectively. Yapı Kredi Asset Management Foreign Technology Sector Equity Fund was found to be the most successful fund, while İş Asset Management BIST Technology Capped Index Share Fund (Equity Intensive) Fund was the least successful fund.

Fuzzy Cognitive Maps and Neutrosophic Cognitive Maps by W. B. Vasantha Kandasamy,Florentin Smarandache Pdf

In a world of chaotic alignments, traditional logic with its strict boundaries of truth and falsity has not imbued itself with the capability of reflecting the reality. Despite various attempts to reorient logic, there has remained an essential need for an alternative system that could infuse into itself a representation of the real world. Out of this need arose the system of Neutrosophy (the philosophy of neutralities, introduced by FLORENTIN SMARANDACHE), and its connected logic Neutrosophic Logic, which is a further generalization of the theory of Fuzzy Logic. In this book we study the concepts of Fuzzy Cognitive Maps (FCMs) and their Neutrosophic analogue, the Neutrosophic Cognitive Maps (NCMs). Fuzzy Cognitive Maps are fuzzy structures that strongly resemble neural networks, and they have powerful and far-reaching consequences as a mathematical tool for modeling complex systems. Neutrosophic Cognitive Maps are generalizations of FCMs, and their unique feature is the ability to handle indeterminacy in relations between two concepts thereby bringing greater sensitivity into the results. Some of the varied applications of FCMs and NCMs which has been explained by us, in this book, include: modeling of supervisory systems; design of hybrid models for complex systems; mobile robots and in intimate technology such as office plants; analysis of business performance assessment; formalism debate and legal rules; creating metabolic and regulatory network models; traffic and transportation problems; medical diagnostics; simulation of strategic planning process in intelligent systems; specific language impairment; web-mining inference application; child labor problem; industrial relations: between employer and employee, maximizing production and profit; decision support in intelligent intrusion detection system; hyper-knowledge representation in strategy formation; female infanticide; depression in terminally ill patients and finally, in the theory of community mobilization and women empowerment relative to the AIDS epidemic.

The Consistency between Cross-Entropy and Distance Measures in Fuzzy Sets by Yameng Wang, Han Yang,Keyun Qin Pdf

The processing of uncertain information is increasingly becoming a hot topic in the artificial intelligence field, and the information measures of uncertainty information processing are also becoming of importance. In the process of decision-making, decision-makers make decisions mostly according to information measures such as similarity, distance, entropy, and cross-entropy in order to choose the best one. However, we found that many researchers apply cross-entropy to multi-attribute decision-making according to the minimum principle, which is in accordance with the principle of distance measures.

A New X-Bar Control Chart for Using Neutrosophic ExponentiallyWeighted Moving Average by Muhammad Aslam ,Ali Hussein AL-Marshadi ,Nasrullah Khan Pdf

The existing Shewhart X-bar control charts using the exponentially weighted moving average statistic are designed under the assumption that all observations are precise, determined, and known. In practice, it may be possible that the sample or the population observations are imprecise or fuzzy. In this paper, we present the designing of the X-bar control chart under the symmetry property of normal distribution using the neutrosophic exponentially weighted moving average statistics. We will first introduce the neutrosophic exponentially weighted moving average statistic, and then use it to design the X-bar control chart for monitoring the data under an uncertainty environment. We will determine the neutrosophic average run length using the neutrosophic Monte Carlo simulation. The eciency of the proposed plan will be compared with existing control charts.
