Seven Gates of Righteous Knowledge by Moshe Weiner,Michael Schulman Pdf

"Seven Gates of Righteous Knowledge" is the long-awaited, practical guide to attaining spiritual growth and inner peace as a Righteous Gentile. Written in clear and concise terms, it provides the objective moral foundation for anyone seeking a closer personal connection and relationship with our Creator. The authors adapted universal teachings from classic texts (the Hebrew Bible, Talmud, Midrash, Mishneh Torah, and Chassidic insights) for enlightenment of the general public about the direct path to great advancements in personal and collective spiritual standing. Rather than being part of a specific religion, this is the faith-based knowledge that has been meant for all people from the earliest Biblical times. The book presents the fundamental principles and character traits, attitudes, actions, and goals in life that will reveal how a person is truly created in the image of God. It is written to be a highly valuable resource on its own, or as an ideal study companion for the growing number of people worldwide who accept and follow the Seven Noahide Commandments that were given by God for Gentiles of all nationalities and cultures.

Seven Gates of Righteous Knowledge by Moshe Weiner Pdf

This work was inspired by the book Sefer Ha?Madah (The Book of Knowledge) by Rabbi Moshe ben Maimon, also known as Maimonides. Sefer Ha?Madah is the first volume of his work Mishneh Torah, which is his monumental codification of the Oral Torah Law. In it, Maimonides explains the Torah's path to true and proper faith-based knowledge. The essential points of our present book, and much of its text, have been taken from Maimonides? holy words in Sefer Ha?Madah, Beyond that, we have added background information and explanations to produce a book meant specifically for those who are, or who want to become, righteous Gentiles in God's eyes. We have not attempted to include every proper and righteous outlook, character trait, and path in life for Gentiles. However, in a general manner, this book presents the proper views and behaviors for a righteous person of any nationality or culture.

Seven Gates to Righteousness by Moshe Weiner,Michael Schulman Pdf

This book aims to help a person determine the ways to achieve righteousness in the eyes of God and a closer personal relationship with Him. To succeed in this, a person needs knowledge of what qualities and traits of character should be developed. Following the paths described in this work, each person will be able to discover and nurture that "image of God" in which he was created. In response to the sincere effort to go in these ways, Heaven will help and reward him. As more people seek spiritual Truth and intimacy with the Creator, it is vital to disseminate this knowledge. The risk is great if a person does not have sufficient knowledge and understanding of what behavior is appreciated by the Almighty. The Seven Commandments of the Descendants of Noah are a similar reference point. We will not explain theb Seven Commandments; that is our book called The Divine Code. The present work is about the ways of morality that a person should choose based on common sense in order to reveal the "image of God" in which he was created, and also to see this in another person. Inspiration for this work was the "Knowledge Book" of the great sage Rabbi Moshe Ben Maimon (1135-1204 AD), also known as Maimonides or Rambam. This is the first of the fourteen volumes of his work Mishneh Torah, which codified the laws of the Oral Torah. Rambam explained the ways of the Torah leading to Truth and Knowledge. Therefore, the main provisions of our book are taken from the lofty sayings of Rambam, and in some cases supplemented and explained by them, in order to present these explanations specifically for readers of the Peoples of the World who wish to acquire the qualities of righteousness. Know that it is impossible to fit within the boundaries of the book all the desired qualities and virtues, as well as all the ways to achieve them. The purpose is to acquaint the reader in general terms with the true judgments concerning the behavior of a righteous person.

The Divine Code: Fundamentals of the faith by Moshe Weiner,Mosheh Ṿainer Pdf

This work by Rabbi Moshe Weiner examines the Torah Law details and foundations of the Biblical Seven Noahide Commandments (the Seven Laws of Noah). Volume 1 (First Edition) delineates the Noahide commandments and describes the fundamentals of the Noahide faith, the prohibitions of idolatry and blasphemy, the dietary prohibitions associated with eating meat that was removed from a living animal (which includes a prohibition of causing unnecessary pain to living creatures). Other topics that are relevant for righteous gentiles include permissible Torah study, prayer, moral conduct, repentance, annulment of vows, and the prohibitions of cross-mating different species of animals and cross-grafting different species of fruit trees. Volume 1 also includes an introduction which explains the Torah Law basis of Jewish outreach to gentiles for the Seven Noahide Commandments, and the obligations of gentiles to observe the traditional rabbinical explanations and rulings about the Noahide Code as it is included as part of the Torah of Moses. The Divine Code by Moshe Weiner Pdf

Interest in the Seven Commandments for the Children of Noah (Non-Jews) is growing, and great numbers of people around the world have committed themselves to observe these commandments. Until publication of The Divine Code (now in the Fourth Edition), a comprehensive, clear, and expertly researched guide for observance and study of these Divine precepts was lacking. The Divine Code is the result of an historic project by Ask Noah International. Originally published in Hebrew by Rabbi Moshe Weiner and endorsed by prominent Torah scholars, including two Chief Rabbis of Israel, it examines the Torah-law foundations and details of the Noahide precepts. Unique among the other books on this subject, this authoritative text is footnoted with extensively researched Talmudic and post-Talmudic sources, and supplied with additional explanations and enlightening Editor's Notes throughout. It identifies and applies the fundamental principles by which the practical requirements for righteous living are determined for pious Non-Jews. This Fourth Edition encompasses all of the Seven Noahide Commandments and their principles and offshoots. It is the authorized translation according to Rabbi Weiner's personal review and editing. The book contains eight parts, beginning with Fundamentals of the Faith, followed by the seven parts which provide comprehensive explanations of each of the Seven Noahide Commandments and their many offshoots. Also included are several section introductions by the renown Rabbi J. Immanuel Schochet, o.b.m., a leading Canadian rabbi and author of many popular books on Torah-based spirituality and philosophy. Additional introductions were contributed by Joe M. Regenstein, Ph.D., a leading expert on guidelines in the meat industry for improved animal welfare; Arthur A. Goldberg, J.D., author of Light in the Closet and Director of J.I.F.G.A.; Rabbi Shimon D. Cowen, Ph.D., Director of of the Institute for Judaism and Civilization, and Michael Schulman, Ph.D., editor of the book and Executive Director of Ask Noah International and Asknoah.org. The New Enlightenment and the Fight to Free Knowledge by Peter B. Kaufman Pdf

How do we create a universe of truthful and verifiable information, available to everyone? In The New Enlightenment and the Fight to Free Knowledge, MIT Open Learning’s Peter B. Kaufman describes the powerful forces that have purposely crippled our efforts to share knowledge widely and freely. Popes and their inquisitors, emperors and their hangmen, commissars and their secret police—throughout history, all have sought to stanch the free flow of information. Kaufman writes of times when the Bible could not be translated—you’d be burned for trying; when dictionaries and encyclopedias were forbidden; when literature and science and history books were trashed and pulped—sometimes along with their authors; and when efforts to develop public television and radio networks were quashed by private industry. In the 21st century, the enemies of free thought have taken on new and different guises—giant corporate behemoths, sprawling national security agencies, gutted regulatory commissions. Bereft of any real moral compass or sense of social responsibility, their work to surveil and control us are no less nefarious than their 16th- and 18th- and 20th- century predecessors. They are all part of what Kaufman calls the Monsterverse. The New Enlightenment and the Fight to Free Knowledge maps out the opportunities to mobilize for the fight ahead of us. With the Internet and other means of media production and distribution—video especially—at hand, knowledge institutions like universities, libraries, museums, and archives have a special responsibility now to counter misinformation, disinformation, and fake news—and especially efforts to control the free flow of information. A film and video producer and former book publisher, Kaufman begins to draft a new social contract for our networked video age. He draws his inspiration from those who fought tooth and nail against earlier incarnations of the Monsterverse—including William Tyndale in the 16th century; Denis Diderot in the 18th; untold numbers of Soviet and Central and East European dissidents in the 20th—many of whom paid the ultimate price. Their successors? Advocates of free knowledge like Aaron Swartz, of free software like Richard Stallman, of an enlightened public television and radio network like James Killian, of a freer Internet like Tim Berners-Lee, of fuller rights and freedoms like Edward Snowden. All have been striving to secure for us a better world, marked by the right balance between state, society, and private gain. The concluding section of the book, its largest piece, builds on their work, drawing up a progressive agenda for how today’s free thinkers can band together now to fight and win. With everything shut and everyone going online, The New Enlightenment and the Fight to Free Knowledge is a rousing call to action that expands the definition of what it means to be a citizen in the 21st century.

The Knowledge of the Holy by A. W. Tozer Pdf

True religion confronts earth with heaven and brings eternity to bear upon time. The messenger of Christ, though he speaks from God, must also, as the Quakers used to say, "speak to the condition" of his hearers; otherwise he will speak a language known only to himself. His message must be not only timeless but timely. He must speak to his own generation. The message of this book does not grow out of these times but it is appropriate to them. It is called forth by a condition which has existed in the Church for some years and is steadily growing worse. I refer to the loss of the concept of majesty from the popular religious mind. The Church has surrendered her once lofty concept of God and has substituted for it one so low, so ignoble, as to be utterly unworthy of thinking, worshipping men. This she has done not deliberately, but little by little and without her knowledge; and her very unawareness only makes her situation all the more tragic.

To Perfect the World by Michael Schulman Pdf

As a foremost global spiritual leader, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, emphasized that G-d commanded the Jewish people, through Moshe at Mount Sinai, to influence the people of the world to observe the Torah's Seven Noahide Commandments. Despite the key importance of this mission, Jews were unable to fulfill it during most of their difficult history. The Rebbe explained that, by Divine Providence, the freedoms of religion and speech in our modern societies make it possible -- and thus obligatory -- for Jews to now be involved in spreading out this much-needed universal message. But was any guidance provided for how to pursue this?In fact, the Rebbe directly addressed the following questions, and more:* What is the basis in Torah for this outreach?* What is the pious path for Gentiles in G-d's eyes, and what parts of Torah should they learn? * Who should be involved in this outreach?* How should Gentiles be approached and encouraged? This book presents a systematic compilation of the Rebbe's many teachings and directives for Jews, and Gentiles as well, about how to widely promote belief in G-d, observance of the Noahide Code, and acts of goodness and kindness.

This is the introduction to the Noahide Code that many people have been waiting for! It brings the concepts of the Seven Noahide Commandments vividly to life. These essays are adapted from the section introductions in our more in-depth book, The Divine Code, 3rd Edition, by Rabbi Moshe Weiner. For each of the commandments, the explanatory essay is followed by paragraphs that give the source verses in the Hebrew Bible, a listing of selected key details for its observance, and discussion of some related or extended precepts. The booklet begins with conceptual and historical overviews, and ends with a review of eight additional righteous traditions that were accepted by the Children of Noah in subsequent generations. As ever greater numbers of people begin to observe the letter and spirit of the universal Seven Noahide Commandments that are accurately explained in this booklet, the world moves closer to the ultimate spiritual awareness and unity of purpose that will fulfill our Creator's desire - which is to have His main and eternal dwelling place here in this world in the Messianic Era, with the human beings whom He created in His image.
