He lived in Germany (Frankfurt, Görlitz, Berlin, Munich, Königsberg), Austria (Vienna), France (Paris), and Switzerland (Horgen, Massagno). Bô Yin Râ expressed his insights into the metaphysical structures of the eternal spiritual reality through art and writings. His spiritual written teaching Hortus Conclusus is compiled into a series of 32 books. As a whole, it consists of books as well as spiritual paintings. – GERMAN BÔ YIN RÂ FOUNDATION (to learn more about Bô Yin Râ, his life, his writing and painting, visit www.bo-yin-ra-stiftung.de) ________________________________________________________________________ The high goal of which the words speak in this book is higher than all earthly goals. Yet you will vainly seek to attain this goal if you imagine it lies far away! The path leading to your high goal is within yourself; you will one day reach the high goal only within yourself! All the help you require on your path will be given to you also only within yourself! Only within yourself can you take hold of the helping hands reaching out to you! Do not confuse the teaching which seeks to show you the goal and guide you on that path towards the goal with the walk on the path within yourself! The teaching can only bring you benefit if you seek its advice within yourself. – Only then will you also find help within yourself! If therefore the words of this book are to bring you to your high goal you will have to let them resound within yourself. In your inner being you will then discover the steep path; if you seek to climb it bravely, it will make you too find the high goal within yourself! – – (...) It is more timely than ever in today’s age to point out again and again that not everything ‘mysterious’ around us leads to that last and most sacred mystery which alone can bring redemption to the soul. Indeed, it is perhaps necessary to counsel even against an all too ‘readily’ reading of this warning it-self. For confusion in many minds has mutated into the grotesque to such a degree that they can no long-er, in their state of exalted blindness, recognise the sharpest rejection of their delusion and turn words of warning into words of approval. (...) I shall help you seek within yourselves; there alone remains your hope of finding what you have al-ways sought for yourselves. (...) No thinking and speculation can ever teach you to find your way to the ultimate solution to all those questions which continually rise from the darkness of earth-bound knowledge before your soul demanding answers!––– – THE HIGH GOAL They have never heard the teaching telling them of the duty to use life on this earth in the way that it becomes a source of continual happiness. (...) But those who would attain happiness must strive alone for their happiness; everything else they would like to achieve must be subordinated to this striving and wisely woven into it. – – (...) No other task can be higher than the duty to attain the purest enduring happiness and to increase this Earth’s happiness within oneself and thereby in others too. – THE BOOK ON HAPPINESS What I have to say is beyond belief and disbelief! I'm not a prophet who needs "confessors" – nor a fighter, who is looking for "followers" behind him, but only a mediator of spiritual insights about the real home of mankind. My writings shouldn't be "believed" but taken up objectively, to awaken innermost experience. – ABOUT MY WRITINGS Countless people – and in truth not just those whose souls are the most frigid – continually await an immense experience to shake their innermost depths. Since all their longing is incapable of summoning up this experience, they rush restlessly searching from experience to experience, caught up in the delusion that the hoped for experience is bound to be attained, if they could only locate the powerful phenomenon capable of overpowering their souls with its immensity. – SHOWING THE WAY A yearning is passing through the world, – a consuming desire, – and every soul not yet completely hardened and incapable of awakening feels gripped by it. (...) One ‘may’ once again believe in things which cannot been proven by 'experiments’, and one is no longer mocked for recognising that we are surrounded and influenced by the invisible, even if we cannot solve its mystery… The ‘miraculous’ would again become reality; the realm of faith extends its borders. – THE BOOK ON THE LIVING GOD The design of pages, emphases placed on particular words, use of spaces, long hyphens, exclamation marks etc. — included in this English translation enables ‘heart-Readers’ to meditate, to breathe-in while willingly absorbing the text as a ‘spiritual sustenance’. – Sarah Havah Theebaum, historian of ideas, painter, poet. ________________________________________________________________________ The Standard-translation© into English * Currently the hardcopy/hardcover edition of this book is published on the Amazon sites via the Kindle Direct Publishing - and is now available through all major Amazon country sites (including UK, Canadian and Australian sites). In his poems he is singing his autobiography, sometimes as man of the Earth, some-times as spiritual man. We may say that part of the poem is in front of the Reader's eyes and the other part is being written inside the Reader... as if being awakaned by the act of reading combined with Reader's achieved ability to resonate with the text. Thus the translation presented here is an attempt to capture in words the ideas as they live in the English language. The rythm, rhyme and musicality of the text can be best felt whilel reading (or listening to) the original text in German. ______________________________________________________ * Currently the hardcopy/hardcover edition of this book is published on the Amazon sites via the Kindle Direct Publishing - and is now available through all major Amazon country sites (including UK, Canadian and Australian sites). Life's Highest Goal by Bo Yin Ra Pdf

In this book the author shows not only what is without question the highest goal that human beings can achieve in mortal life, but also how that timeless goal can be attained, so long as the resources of the physical body still offer the means to perform the "work," which ceases when "the night has come." The goal on which this book sheds light surpasses all other quests in temporal existence in that its attainment, the recovery of conscious self-awareness in the Spirit's realm, transforms the vague belief in some eternal life into an objective, permanent experience. While all material goals, however mighty and ambitious, are limited in space and time, conscious self-awareness in the Spirit, is not affected by the laws of matter. As in his other works, the author also here illuminates the structure of spiritual reality, and offers practical advice how that reality may be discovered in one's daily life, which thus gains meaning and enlightened purpose. "The Kober Press's translations of the books of Bo Yin Ra are the only English translations authorized by the Kober Verlag, Switzerland. The Kober Verlag publishes the books of Bo Yin Ra in the original German and has protected their integrity since Bo Yin Ra's lifetime." Contents: Preface. 1. The Call of the Spirit. 2. The Two Paths. 3. On Seeking and Finding. 4. The radiance of Eternal Light. 5. The Colors of Eternal Light. 6. On the Nature of the Highest Goal. 7. On the Paths of the Ancients. 8. None of this seemed possible to him other than through external works. But soon he believed to feel that the form of the ritual was important when carrying out these acts. Not every custom when making sacrifices, giving thanks or singing praises seemed to have the same value in the estimation of the gods. Therefore he rejected the forms of reverence and sacrifice which failed to meet with the approval of the gods, and practised other forms which would, as he believed, bring their favour. Providing a greater guarantee for the fulfilment of his own wishes led him to adhere strictly to apparently secure, tried and tested customs. The cult of the gods had found its established form. (...) Let us speak here of the cult inasmuch as it makes itself felt as magic for the sake of man! The Godhead which needs man in order to reveal itself to man, truly does not require a cult for its own sake. However, the cult which effects itself as magic can free the spirit of man from its sleep in the ‘animal’, and open up to it a realm of influence which teaches it to recognise that it can even get help where all ‘animal’ might senses its limits. – CULT-MAGIC AND MYTH They have never heard the teaching telling them of the duty to use life on this earth in the way that it becomes a source of continual happiness. Axiomatic Thinking I by Fernando Ferreira,Reinhard Kahle,Giovanni Sommaruga Pdf

In this two-volume compilation of articles, leading researchers reevaluate the success of Hilbert's axiomatic method, which not only laid the foundations for our understanding of modern mathematics, but also found applications in physics, computer science and elsewhere. The title takes its name from David Hilbert's seminal talk Axiomatisches Denken, given at a meeting of the Swiss Mathematical Society in Zurich in 1917. This marked the beginning of Hilbert's return to his foundational studies, which ultimately resulted in the establishment of proof theory as a new branch in the emerging field of mathematical logic. Hilbert also used the opportunity to bring Paul Bernays back to Göttingen as his main collaborator in foundational studies in the years to come. The contributions are addressed to mathematical and philosophical logicians, but also to philosophers of science as well as physicists and computer scientists with an interest in foundations. 23 Things They Don't Tell You about Capitalism by Ha-Joon Chang Pdf

INTERNATIONAL BESTSELLER "For anyone who wants to understand capitalism not as economists or politicians have pictured it but as it actually operates, this book will be invaluable."-Observer (UK) If you've wondered how we did not see the economic collapse coming, Ha-Joon Chang knows the answer: We didn't ask what they didn't tell us about capitalism. This is a lighthearted book with a serious purpose: to question the assumptions behind the dogma and sheer hype that the dominant school of neoliberal economists-the apostles of the freemarket-have spun since the Age of Reagan. Chang, the author of the international bestseller Bad Samaritans, is one of the world's most respected economists, a voice of sanity-and wit-in the tradition of John Kenneth Galbraith and Joseph Stiglitz. 23 Things They Don't Tell You About Capitalism equips readers with an understanding of how global capitalism works-and doesn't. In his final chapter, "How to Rebuild the World," Chang offers a vision of how we can shape capitalism to humane ends, instead of becoming slaves of the market.

The Road to the Open by Arthur Schnitzler Pdf

A coming-of-age novel, ‘The Road to the Open’ follows the complicated liaisons of composer, Baron Georg von Wergenthin. While a talented man, Wergenthin lacks motivation and, instead of working, prefers to socialise with members of the Viennese bourgeoisie. A committed Christian, his life becomes even more complex when he finds himself falling for a Jewish girl, Anna Rosner. Through this story, Schnitzer documents the collapse of the freethinking Austrian society, as antisemitism and patriotism start to take its place. A classic novel from one of Vienna’s most noteworthy authors, this is ideal for those new to Schnitzler's body of work. The son of a physician, Arthur Schnitzler (1862 – 1931) was born in Vienna. At the age of 17, he enrolled at the city’s university, studying medicine. After graduating, he began work as a doctor at the Vienna General Hospital. Despite seeing himself primarily as a man of science, Schnitzler began writing when he was 31. His first works, poems, and short stories, focusing on the themes of jealousy and adultery, laid the foundations for his first play, ‘Anatol.’ Due to its psychological nature, ‘Anatol’ was praised by Sigmund Freud and later adapted for film, starring Gloria Swanson. Schnitzler eventually retired from the medical profession to pursue his literary career. In addition to numerous plays, he also wrote two full-length novels, a dozen short stories, and two non-fiction books.
