Tubo-Peritoneal Ectopic Gestation (Classic Reprint) by John Clarence Webster Pdf

Excerpt from Tubo-Peritoneal Ectopic Gestation This monograph gives a detailed account of an original research into the nature of a mixed variety of Ectopic Gestation, partly within the left Fallopian tube (extra-peritoneal) and partly Within the peritoneal cavity (intra-peritoneal). Such a variety has never yet been described, and to it I propose to give the name tubo-peritoneal. The work of investigation has been carried out at the Laboratory of the Royal College of Physicians during the past two years. I desire to express my deepest thanks to the Laboratory officials for the generous manner in which they have supplied my many needs during the prosecution of the research, and to acknowledge especially the kindness of Dr. J. Batty Tuke, Curator, Dr. No'e'l Paton, Superintendent, and Dr. G. Sims vvoodhead, former Super. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. Bleeding During Pregnancy by Eyal K. Sheiner Pdf

The phenomenon of bleeding has been shown to appear in up to 22% of all pregnancies and is associated with significant maternal and fetal morbidities, and even mortality. Although vaginal bleeding occurs mainly during the first trimester, it can appear at any stage of pregnancy and in the postpartum period. This sometimes life-threatening event requires an extensive work-up in order to recognize its cause and establish a rapid and effective therapeutic approach. This book is a comprehensive appraisal of this critical condition. It draws on evidence-based data and brings together, in a single volume, updated information on all aspects of pregnancy-related bleeding. A global group of interdisciplinary experts contributed chapters on: bleeding during early pregnancy (early pregnancy loss, ectopic pregnancy, gestational trophoblastic disease, and cancer of the reproductive tract during pregnancy); bleeding in late pregnancy (preterm delivery, placental abruption, placenta previa, vasa previa and uterine rupture); and postpartum hemorrhage.

Acute Abdomen During Pregnancy by Goran Augustin Pdf

This is the second edition of a well-received book that reflects the state of the art in diagnosis and treatment of acute abdominal disorders in the pregnant patient. It addresses a wide range of conditions - whether associated with or incidental to pregnancy - ranging from very rare to more common ones, such as acute appendicitis and acute cholecystitis. It offers an update on recommendations, guidelines and scenarios to provide fundamental support for all clinicians who might encounter such cases. The book highlights the importance of a rapid diagnosis to avoid serious consequences for both the mother and the fetus. Furthermore, it sheds light on the different imaging modalities of rare pathologies that can occur during pregnancy, helping clinicians and radiologists to better define underlying cases. This new edition has been almost completely rewritten, and includes an additional section focusing on urologic emergencies, preterm labor and intra-abdominal pressure, as well as new figures and tables. It is equally valuable for general and abdominal surgeons, gynecologists and obstetricians, as well as emergency physicians, who may be the first specialists to have clinical contact with this group of patients.
