Pioneer Families of Northwestern New Jersey originally appeared as a series of weekly articles in the Hackettstown Gazette beginning with the issue of February 16, 1934, and ran for ninety-four installments. Never widely available, the series nonetheless constitutes the single greatest stockpile of genealogical reference material available on northwestern New Jersey families.
