Bible Based Businesses by Jeff Testerman Pdf

You can have a profitable business based upon Biblical principles, without sacrificing integrity, honesty, or profitability. There are certain principles that when applied work universally to prosper a business. These principles were put in to place by God for His creation to use. God designed this world to best operate under His laws. When we follow His laws things tend to go well. When we break His laws we get broken. Most secular business books and self-help books fall short because they extol the strengths of men and do not go far enough in giving the glory to God. Some have even taken God's principles and taught them as if they were their own or have given credit to some unnamed higher power. God laws are for the seen and the unseen or what we call the physical and the spiritual. Even non-Christians experience blessings when they apply God's principles in both the physical and spiritual realm. The sad part is they don't give Him glory when things go well. (But when things go bad you often hear them taking His name in vain.) We want to encourage Christian Business Owners to boldly give credit to our God who put these laws into place, who created us with the amazing abilities and capabilities of our mind, soul, and body and who gives us the very breath we breathe to live and prosper. One amazing thing about our God is His great mercy. Even when the world does not give Him the glory He deserves, He still blesses them. Jesus said that the Father sends His rain on the just and on the unjust. And Paul the Apostle tells us that it is the kindness of God that leads men to repentance. Our goal as Christian Business Owners is to first and foremost glorify God in our life and business. We choose to acknowledge Him in all our ways.

Business for the Glory of God by Wayne Grudem Pdf

Can business activity in itself be morally good and pleasing to God? Sometimes business can seem so shady-manipulating the "bottom line," deceiving the consumer, or gaining promotions because of whom you know. But Wayne Grudem introduces a novel concept: business itself glorifies God when it is conducted in a way that imitates God's character and creation. He shows that all aspects of business, including ownership, profit, money, competition, and borrowing and lending, glorify God because they are reflective of God's nature. Though Grudem isn't naïve about the easy ways these activities can be perverted and used as a means to sin, he knows that Christians can be about the business of business. This biblically based book is a thoughtful guide to imitating God during interactions with customers, coworkers, employees, and other businesses. See how your business, and your life in business, can be dedicated to God's glory.

The Business Book Bible by Derek B Lewis Pdf

Brian Tracy said, "This book gives you a proven strategy to write and sell an excellent book on any business subject you know and care about." Todd Sattersten, co-author of "The 100 Best Business Books of All Time," said, "No one tells you how hard it is to write a business book. Luckily, Derek's 'Bible' makes it easier-much easier." Literary agents, publishers, Fortune 500 consultants-they've all had rave reviews for "The Business Book Bible," the only full-length, in-depth book on how to put together a great thought leadership book. There are plenty of writing guides out there for memoirs, general business communication, crime thrillers, or romance novels. But until now, there's never been anywhere would-be business authors could turn to for help. That's unfortunate because business books present a completely different set of challenges. For example: - How do you connect with your readers so they trust you and your advice? - How do you artfully point to your products and services without coming off like a late-night infomercial? - How do you keep your reader engaged throughout the book, especially if your material is--shall we say--less than thrilling? No other writing guide can teach you what you need to know...and do you really want to learn the hard way? With writing your book, you want to get it right the first time. Written by a business ghostwriter, "The Business Book Bible" covers everything you need to know, from framing your authority to picking the perfect title, plus: - Figuring out how long your book should be - Winning the battle of writer's block - Nailing down your real reader (and what to do when they're different than your ideal client) - Giving away the secret sauce - The unforgivable sin in writing - Looking like a pro (and not a rank amateur) - Acting like a publisher (even if you have one) ....and much, much more. You'll learn how to follow the same 5-step process the author uses to write and ghostwrite multiple books a year. You'll see how to keep your book focused and how to cut the unnecessary material. You'll discover multiple methods of getting your ideas out of your head--and most of them don't even involve writing! John Spence, voted one of the top 100 business thought leaders in America, said, "As the author of five business books, I sure wish I had read this one earlier in my career. It's would've saved me a lot of time, headache, stress, and money." Here's a startling example of just one of the great tips and tricks contained in the book: you don't start writing a book by actually writing the book. One of the biggest mistakes first-time authors make is sitting down at their computer, expecting to start with the first word of chapter one, and then write all the way through to "The End." If only it were that easy! Amateurs try to get it perfect right from the start. The pros know that writing is a process. You start by getting all your ideas out of head and onto paper first. You'll have a jumbled mess that looks like a new jigsaw puzzle. You have to sift and sort through it to find the material worth using. Then and only then can you start piecing the puzzle together. It's a painstaking, time-consuming process-but one that's well worth it. Peter Economy, "The Management Guy" at Inc. said, "Derek Lewis's 'The Business Book Bible' is by far the most comprehensive book I have ever seen on the nuts and bolts of writing a business book. If you're planning to write a business book, then you would do well to read this book first." Start writing your book by reading this one!"

Christian-Owned Companies: What Does it Look Like when a Follower of Jesus Runs a Business? by Michael Zigarelli Pdf

One Question, Fifty Companies, Eight Practical Answers. What does it look like when a follower of Jesus runs a business? It's a question we're asking more than ever before, from the front lines of business to the front page of the newspaper to the front row of the classroom. But our answers tend to be incomplete-personal anecdotes, media narratives, or simply revisiting the usual suspects. Christian-Owned Companies, the stories of 50 for-profit businesses, is the most thorough investigation of the question to date, uncovering eight practical answers. For business leaders, it's a road map. For academics, it's a theory. For students, it's a curriculum. And for a confused culture, it's a corrective to the stereotypes of the left and the right. Join Professor Zigarelli for an in-depth look at what Christian-owned companies really do and how they do it.

Bible Based Business by Henry Jackson Pdf

Can we, in this twisted world in which we live, still walk in honesty and integrity? Is it possible? Can a person’s word still be their honor? It takes a person of steel to put decency of character before their own personal gains and pleasures. Are you such a person? Are you a person of principle? Would you like to be? The author challenges men and women to base their lives and businesses on principles learned from the Word of YHWH. He claims the validity of the scriptures for today’s modern society, and through a study of almost three hundred passages of scripture, he carefully presents its relevance to many aspects of common business life. His call is for men and women to be givers in life and influencers for good. He shows the importance of destiny and how ordinary people can take hold of that for which YHWH called them and, in so doing, achieve true satisfaction in life. His call is valid. It is exciting. It is tremendously challenging. It is not for the fainthearted.

Business for the Common Good by Kenman L. Wong,Scott B. Rae Pdf

Is business just a way to make money? Or can the marketplace a venue for service to others? Scott B. Rae and Kenman L. Wong seek to explore this and other critical business issues from a uniquely Christian perspective, offering up a vision for work and service that is theologically grounded and practically oriented. Among the specific questions they address along the way are these: What implications does the Christian story have for the vision, mission or sense of purpose that shapes business engagement? What parts of business can be affirmed and practiced "as is" and what parts need to be rejected or transformed? What challenges exist as attempts are made to live out Christian ideals in a broken world characterized by tight margins, fierce competition and short-term investor pressures? How do Christian values inform specific functional areas of business such as the management of people, marketing and environmental sustainability? Business can be even more than an environment through which individual Christians grow in Christlikeness. In this book you'll discover how it can also be a means toward serving the common good. The Christian Worldview Integration Series, edited by J. P. Moreland and Francis J. Beckwith, seeks to promote a robust personal and conceptual integration of Christian faith and learning, with textbooks focused on disciplines such as education, psychology, literature, politics, science, communications, biology, philosophy, and history.
