Gravity Decoded by Sebastian Borrello Pdf

Gravity is a mystery. Objects fall to the ground as if pulled by an unseen hand. Galileo was the first person to discover how falling works, but failed to ask why. Kepler deciphered the laws of planetary motion but missed the meaning of his own discoveries. Newton ignited the Enlightenment when he found the connection between matter and gravity, and gave us the tools to measure orbital mechanics. But Newton was disappointed with his own discoveries because the source of gravity lay hidden from him. Einstein discovered the connection between space and matter but his own equations masked the real source of gravity. He failed to understand that space is more than geometry. This book explores the energy of space and discovers that its structure completely defines gravity. Using simple mathematics and the achievements of Galileo, Kepler, Newton, and Einstein, the author constructs a new law of gravity that is defined by the size of the universe and its matter-energy content. Gone is Newton's awkward, arbitrary constant and Einstein's dependence on it. The force of gravity becomes the tendency for the Universe to reach perfect symmetry of space-energy. The Universe is self-regulating with its space-tension exactly balanced by its matter-energy. The Universe consists of only space-energy and the matter-energy that was derived from it. With space-energy revealed as the source of gravity, the author looks into the meaning of anti-gravity, and how we might achieve it.

Gravity Explained by Alexander Tolish Pdf

Gravity causes an apple to fall to the ground and keeps the moon in orbit around Earth, but it can also trap light for infinity in a dying star and ripple across the cosmos carrying the news of a massive collision between two distant black holes. With accessible language and breathtaking NASA images, students will explore the theory of gravity, from Newton's law of universal gravitation to Einstein's general relativity and beyond. This book supports the Next Generation Science Standards' emphasis on scientific collection and analysis of data and evidence-based theories by discussing the theoretical models scientists devise to describe gravity and the real-world experiments they use to test them.

Gravitational Waves Explained by Richard Gaughan Pdf

In September of 2015, the scientific world was buzzing: gravitational waves had been detected. It was a dramatic and conclusive demonstration of Einstein's theory of general relativity, the most complex and far-reaching theory in the history of physics. Through detailed diagrams, relatable analogies, and informative sidebars, this text cuts through the complexity and sophistication, providing an accessible introduction to the physics of waves, the implications of general relativity, and the ways in which gravitational waves can bring new understanding of the universe around us.

The Decoded Company by Leerom Segal,Aaron Goldstein,Jay Goldman,Rahaf Harfoush Pdf

A powerful guide to building a data-centric corporate culture that unleashes talent and improves engagement Amazon delights customers with recommendations that are spot on. Google amazes us by generating answers before we've even finished asking a question. These companies know who we are and what we want. The key to their magic is Big Data. Personalizing the consumer experience with the collection and analysis of consumer data is widely recognized as one of the biggest business opportunities of the 21st century. But there is a flip side to this that has largely been missed. What if we were able to use data about employees to personalize and customize their experience - to increase their engagement, help them learn faster on the job, and figure out which teams they should be on? In this book, Leerom and his colleagues outline the six principles they've used to decode work and unlock the maximum potential of their talent, and share success stories from other organizations that have embraced this approach. The Decoded Company is an actionable blueprint for any company that wants the best from its people, and isn't afraid of radical approaches to get it. Leerom Segal is the president and CEO of Klick and has been named "Entrepreneur of the Year" by the Business Development Bank of Canada, won the "Young Entrepreneur of the Year" award from Ernst and Young, and was named to Profit Magazine's Hall of Fame as the youngest CEO ever to lead a nonprofit company. Information and the World Stage by Bernard Dugué Pdf

Modern science is at a tipping point. A new page in the history of knowledge opens with the “information paradigm”, a notion which is gradually supplanting the old mechanistic vision inherited from Galileo and Newton. The author presents an overview of the place of information and communications in our time, explaining some reasons for focusing on these two notions. All areas of knowledge are concerned: philosophy, social sciences, biology, medicine, as well as physics, the so-called “queen of sciences”, from quantum to cosmos. This book is intended for scientific scholars as well as those with just a general interest who are anxious to understand the major evolutions that are taking shape in fields of knowledge in the 21st Century.

Dark Matter Explained by Kristi Lew Pdf

Scientists believe that the universe is mostly made up of dark matter, a mysterious substance that is different from the ordinary matter people can touch, smell, see, and interact with. Dark matter cannot be directly observed, but it can be studied by examining its effect on ordinary matter. Simplified explanations of complex scientific concepts and fascinating images will help students understand how physicists employ Kepler's laws of planetary motion, gravitational lensing, particle colliders, and other theories and tools to learn about dark matter. Informative sidebars explore related timely topics in depth, while a Further Reading section provides several resources for additional study.

Information and Meaning by Tom Stonier Pdf

Information and Meaning is the third book in a trilogy exploring the nature of information, intelligence and meaning. It begins by providing an overview of the first two works of the trilogy, then goes on to consider the meaning of meaning. This explorat ion leads to a theory of how the brain works. This book differs from others in the field, in that it is written from the perspective of a theoretical biologist looking at the evolution of information systems as a basis for studying the phenomena of information, intelligence and meaning. It describes how neurons create a brain which understands information inputs and then is able to operate on such information.
