Trust me here, if you learn to listen to your people, encourage open communication, empower them to change, motivate them and encourage them through praise and recognition of their efforts, it will make a difference. You also need to support, mentor and coach them to be the very best they can be. To think outside the box, problem solve and come up with ideas to continually improve the business and themselves. They can't do this themselves and that is where you come in. You need to make them believe that anything and everything is possible, but first you need to believe it too. This book will hopefully open your eyes to management styles and how they can impact teams positively or negatively. What you take from this book will be up to you. This is not based on just theory, the book is based on real life experience, observations and discussions with many people over many years. Yes, I am under no illusion there will be people out there that will disagree with comments in the book and at the end of the day that is up to every individual's interpretation of the book.
