Religious terrorism accounted for 66% of all deaths from terror attacks in 2013. Using religion as a trump-card for justification of violence has increased sharply since 2000, significantly overtaking political and nationalist separatist movements. There has, however, been no serious attempt to understand how peace can be offered as an alternative product to violence, if it was handled by commercial marketers. If a presidential candidate, sportsperson, detergents or banking services can be marketed, can peace be marketed too? This book argues that social marketing, which uses commercial marketing principles for social good, may make a significant contribution to encouraging peace. The book unearths the subconscious metaphorical frames utilised by Christians in their conceptualisations of Muslims in the US, and vice versa, through a two-fold approach. Firstly, ethnographic field-work is used to gain the trust of the community and to understand the lived-in experience of community members in their natural social setting. Secondly, the Zaltman Metaphor Elicitation Technique (ZMET) is adopted as a tool to discern the metaphorical lens that Christians and Muslims use to view each other. The study suggests how this metaphorical lens of framing may help in designing more effective interventions that would fundamentally alter the mechanism of ‘contact’ between rival majority and minority religious groups in conflict.

The outcome of such national dialogue should be implemented and use to draft a new constitution. The book humorously highlights the flight of integrity from some of these developing countries due to the bad example from leadership. When corruption is the order of the day and there is impunity in that no one is punished even when caught, it makes many people to join the bandwagon and hell is then let loose on the society. Some lawyers when well paid by corrupt officials; they would do all within their powers and explore legal loopholes and processes to either ensure that such cases drag to eternity in law courts or are never heard. Due to the legal procedure that presume an accused person innocent until convicted in law courts, the corrupt official going through trial in court would be free to pursue his/her political ambition, get elected into any political office and acquire more money to frustrate his/her trial in law court. This book highlights the foregoing too. The book highlights the social ills plaguing many developing countries which reduce most human beings to subsistence level and in such situation; higher human ideals are sacrificed on altar of expediency to survive. Even the zeal to work hard and excel wane in many people as the economic climate favours those with political powers and their cohorts; in such a situation everyone struggles to get to political power through any means. It becomes "a do or die" affair. The book will appeal to the public at large especially those who are interested in finding solutions to the problems affecting the developing countries.

As author Charlotte E. Howell argues in this book, by 2016, television narratives of white Christianity had become entirely disconnected from the religion they were meant to represent. Programming labeled 'family-friendly' became a euphemism for white, middlebrow America, and developing audience niches became increasingly significant to serial dramatic television. Utilizing original case studies and interviews, Divine Programming investigates the development, writing, producing, marketing, and positioning of key series including 7th Heaven, Friday Night Lights, Rectify, Supernatural, Jane the Virgin, Daredevil, and Preacher. As this book shows, there has historically been a deep ambivalence among television production cultures regarding religion and Christianity more specifically. It illustrates how middle-American television audiences lost significance within the Hollywood television industry and how this in turn has informed and continues to inform television programming on a larger scale. In recent years, upscale audience niches have aligned with the perceived tastes of affluent, educated, multicultural, and-importantly-secular elites. As a result, the televised representation of white Christianity had to be othered, and shifted into the unreality of fantastic genres to appeal to niche audiences.
