The Road to Reward by Robert N. Wilkin Pdf

What comes after faith in Christ? The Biblical teaching about eternal rewards is sadly neglected by most Christians. Ignorance about what the Bible teaches about rewards leads to widespread legalism and a gospel of salvation by works, as the condition for receiving eternal rewards gets confused with the condition for receiving eternal life. In The Road to Reward, Robert N. Wilkin takes the reader through all the aspects of this wonderful, encouraging, and sobering teaching.

151 Quick Ideas to Recognize and Reward Employees by Ken Lloyd Pdf

Most managers understand the importance of giving their employees recognition and rewards, but when it comes to actually doing so, they often come up empty or use outdated, ineffective strategies. 151 Quick Ideas to Recognize and Reward Employees will help managers stock up. Recognition and rewards are consistently found to be among the most powerful of all motivators for employees at any job level. In fact, when employees are asked to describe their most satisfying experiences at work, they frequently mention situations in which they received recognition and rewards for their performance. And, importantly, when managers are skilled in providing this type of feedback, their employees typically reward them with increased productivity, commitment, and overall performance. However, just like customers who always order the same old entree at a restaurant, managers tend to choose the same old kinds of recognition and rewards. Some traditional rewards still work well, of course, but there is always room for new ideas. 151 Quick Ideas to Recognize and Reward Employees offers you the full menu of recognition and reward strategies. It comes with detailed descriptions of the most popular ideas in business, plus others that are destined to become classics. Ideas such as: — Enriching jobs by giving employees more autonomy and decision-making responsibilities. — Purchasing personally signed books suited to the potential you see in eachemployee. — Awarding special coupons for free gasoline or transportation. — Hiring a masseuse to rub out stiff necks and backs. — Making your employees more invested by offering profit-sharing. — Plus many free or low-cost rewards. Included with each of the 151 strategies is an “assignment” that you can use as a roadmap to bring the idea to life.

The Routledge Companion to Reward Management by Stephen J. Perkins Pdf

The Routledge Companion to Reward Management provides a prestige reference work and a state-of-the-art compilation, mapping out contemporary developments and debates on rewarding people in employment, and how they relate to business, corporate governance and management. Reward management stands at the interdisciplinary interface between economics, industrial relations and HRM, industrial psychology and organisational sociology, and increasingly corporate governance incorporating debates around equity and fairness in and around the employment relationship and wider capital-labour relations. In recent years, trade union decline and widening differentials between those employed at the top of organisations have generated critical commentary in the popular media which can negatively impact on social cohesion. Theoretically underpinned but practically oriented, this Companion will synthesise these trends and controversies around issues while tracing conceptual and empirical provenance, currency and future prospects. It will be an invaluable resource for student and researchers in reward management, corporate governance, management and HRM seeking convenient access to an area which is highly complex and controversial in application.

Is your character showing? It has been said that a picture is worth a thousand words. What that means is that a picture can be remembered 10 years later whereas the exact words can be lost along the way. What does that tell you about the way you act and behave? How do you look to others? I have discussed respect, responsibility and character in this book. I have provided various character traits to look at and a section on skill building. You will see a variety of examples as well as appropriate and inappropriate behaviors. I have also included worksheets in these areas for you to use. Reward and Punishment in Social Dilemmas by Paul A.M. Van Lange,Bettina Rockenbach,Toshio Yamagishi Pdf

One of the key scientific challenges is the puzzle of human cooperation. Why do people cooperate? Why do people help strangers, even sometimes at a major cost to themselves? Why do people want to punish others who violate norms and undermine collective interests? Reward and punishment is a classic theme in research on social dilemmas. More recently, it has received considerable attention from scientists working in various disciplines such as economics, neuroscience, and psychology. We know now that reward and punishment can promote cooperation in so-called public good dilemmas, where people need to decide how much from their personal resources to contribute to the public good. Clearly, enjoying the contributions of others while not contributing is tempting. Punishment (and reward) are effective in reducing free-riding. Yet the recent explosion of research has also triggered many questions. For example, who can reward and punish most effectively? Is punishment effective in any culture? What are the emotions that accompany reward and punishment? Even if reward and punishment are effective, are they also efficient -- knowing that rewards and punishment are costly to administer? How can sanctioning systems best organized to be reduce free-riding? The chapters in this book, the first in a series on human cooperation, explore the workings of reward and punishment, how they should be organized, and their functions in society, thereby providing a synthesis of the psychology, economics, and neuroscience of human cooperation.
